Dylan Harper vs Jakucionis was not close at all. Harper was dominant with 28/6/5, 7-15 FG, 11-12 FT and 4 stls.

Bailey with a double double. 18/11 and 3 blocks.

Calling it now.

KJ to the Bulls at 7/8 so Arturas can get his Lithuania connection going.

Can someone explain to me the lottery process. It's pretty clear for our percentage for the 1st overall pick....but how does it work for picks 1-4?

This is interesting https://www.tankathon.com/pick_odds

But whats most interesting is that our chances at the #2 pick go up once someone has taken the #1 pick etc.

Based on the pick odds and what I expect of the end of the season I think we will fall at 6 and then have the best odds to pick 7 or 8.

My current ever-changing ranking is

Flagg
Bailey
Harper
Johnson
Edgecombe
JK

Man. My TANKATHON lotto sim put Spurs at #1 & #2 today. I can't believe they're in position for such a scenario.

Fox
Castle
Bailey

Unless the Sixers shut things down and tank (which I wouldn't past Morey), they should eventually pass us in the standings. Portland already has and San Antonio should start doing better with Fox. GS hopefully does too. I don't see us catching up to the Nets in the loss column, but there's a small chance the Raptors can close the gap if Brandon Ingram comes back soon enough.

Currently, we have a 26.3% shot at moving into the top four. If we can move a few spots lower in the standings, we'll improve that to 37%. That's far from a sure thing, but they're also fairly significant odds. I have yet to do a deep dive of the draft, but Flagg, Bailey, Harper, and Edgecombe seem like they all have star potential. I'm sure there's others, but these guys stand out the most and it'd be huge for the rebuild to draft any of them.

I assume we will end up with the 7th spot and a 1 in 3 chance to get one of the top 4 picks.

I think we are pretty locked in at 7. Which has me frustrated. So far I am at 6 guys I'd like in this draft in this order Flagg-Bailey-Harper-Johnson-Edgecombe-JK.....Edgecombe stock rising, JK stock falling.

Watching Murray-Boyles now. He's probably in a second tier for me. Nothing sexy but wouldn't mind adding him to the team.

Watching Danny Wolf now. He's nice. High floor low ceiling type. Can't miss rotational player with upside to a 4th or 5th starter on a good team.

if we get top 3 in order i would want in order Flagg/Bailey/Harper

if we land in that 7-10 area I would want to look at Fears/Newell/Maluach/Knueppel

We have 22 wins with 30 games left, i hope we end up in the 25-30 win area.

I used tankathon lottery 6 times and we ended with the Flagg two times and in the lottery 4 times ... Just play the youngsters and lose.

Preliminary scouting from me:

COOPER FLAGG is in Tier 1 among these batch all by himself. There is no one else in Tier 1.

Tier 2 is DYLAN HARPER.

Tier 3 is EDGECOMBE.

Rest:
I have KJ higher than Ace Bailey. Ace comes off as a ball hog who doesn't play defense. He's a terrible facilitator. Those types are not franchise players. Never will be. They're not winners either. If we draft Ace, we better have a trade for him.

Here are some quotes regarding Ace from NBAdraft.net:

Can improve as a ball-handler. Dribbles high and plays a bit too upright. Crossovers and changing directions with the ball aren’t always smooth. Lacks wiggle trying to get by his guy, which often ends up with a midrange step-back. Tends to settle on jump shots, sometimes off-balanced and would like to see more scoring in the paint. Can be turnover prone … Good tools defensively but can tighten up on that end.

These don't get corrected at the pro level. Ben Gordon is a great example. He never improved on his high loosey goosey dribble. He fell to the floor, or loses his balance, doing cross overs.

KJ with a strong bounce back game.

Will Riley with 27. Kid is soaring. Can flat out shoot it. He will go 8-16

Murray Boyles is growing on me. He's the anti-PWill. Angry and aggressive. I'm a fan of thinking about the F position as needing 3 players (just like the G position) and he combined with Buz and Pwill is fun. I think he's an instant starter who will be tremendously easy to root for (especially given the Pwill frustrations). Probably never a star but always a starter.

1-Giddey-Ball
2-White-Ayo
3-Buz-(Terry)
4-Murray-Boyles-PWill
5-Vuc-Smith

I am curious about Murray-Boyles defense.

As the college season has gone on - Cooper Flagg has emerged to live up to the hype.

The fear comes from the fact that as much as Flagg has stepped up - several other players seem to be slumping lately or taking a step back - Jakucionis, Harper, etc.

My biggest fear is that Flagg is the only legit player in this draft.

Bailey will be a superstar in the league. Elite scorer that can shoot, rebound & defend at a high level.

The only thing holding him back will be his passing & playmaking. If he can get to 80% of Tatum’s level in that regard, he’ll be very a similar player to Tatum IMO.

Ace Bailey is actually one of my least liked players currently projected to be a high pick. I'll give you that he's a good rebounder.

Scorer? Is his 55% TS% supposed to impress me? To shoot 38% from three and still have an awful TS% is a pretty big red flag

Is BPM and DBPM is the lowest of any player projected to go in the top 10

He averages more turnovers than assists.

He's an inefficient block-hole that rates as a poor defender so far in college.

Don’t do that. Feel free to debate, but keep it substantive and insult-free.
