Jesus I'm so disgusted with idea of Waiters on this team.

Do you realise that his TS% is lower than Jimmy Butler?

Okay, have you've seen him run transition defense? Did you've heard about his ego and fighting Kyrie or Thompson in locker room? Didn't you've noticed his weight? How can a player be overweight and play in the NBA. Isn't there enough evidence that Waiters is just lazy dude.

I loathe idea of Waiters with current Bulls.

Waiters would be a great fit next to rose + hes young and cheap

He's not that cheap. Next year he's going to make as much money as MDJ and Snell combined and I belive that their production will be much higher than Waiters.

He wouldn't fit with Rose because of same reasons he's a bad fit with Kyrie. He's a ballhog how does not make anybody better. He chucks up too many shots and have an ego issue.

I don't understand the Waiters discussion - Cleveland aren't going to help us.

If he ever gets injured and is out for several months he'll start packing so much weight it'll probably be a lost season anyways.

Full quote -

I've been preparing for this for a long time. I dedicated my whole summer for this moment. ... [I spent] every day working my a-- off. Torturing my body every single day. My wind is the last thing I need. I played probably a total of nine minutes [in Monday's scrimmages]. I work out three or four hours a day [so] that ain't s---."

"All he has to do is exactly what he did in 2010, which is run the team," Thibodeau said, pointing to Rose's play when the USA captured gold over Turkey in Istanbul. "I think it's a great situation for him to come back in. ... This experience for him in 2010 was a huge plus. I think it helped him with his [2010-11] MVP season, he hit the ground running. He was in great shape. He was ready to go. Because of the talent on this team, he doesn't have to play a lot of minutes. He can find the rhythm of the game, and there's a lot of scoring on the floor. Both of our two guards can handle the ball and run the pick-and-roll, which allows him to come off screens. This team is really built for him."

Derrick seems kind of angry all the time now. He is starting to talk like Kobe. Like some cigar chomping drill sergeant.

He never punched Kyrie, and he did have an argument with Thompson. That was during the Cavs losing streak. Honestly, who wouldn't have gotten frustrated in a toxic environment like Cleveland. Maybe people mistaken that for his competitive drive. I don't think it's an ego thing, I just think he has a lot of confidence.

I've seen him play, and the talent is there. He just needs a fresh start under a coach like Thibs. The veterans on this team will pave the way for Waiters. He'll buy in the system.

Minny likes the pieces we have, and we know how bad Cleveland wants Love, so with the right package, it could get done.

I am cool with it. As long as he stays personable and on good terms with his teammates, as he always has been, more attitude = good.

Story and a little more in game video (follow link) with Rose at Team USA.

http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/sports/D ... 68231.html

"Coach K pulled me out... I get rest.... I don't have the whole team on my back. I have other great players out there."

"It's good, there's no pain ... right now I'm in camp with the U.S.A. team and hopefully I make it," Rose said.

"If you're right there I'm gonna try to dunk. My legs are healthy, I'm not worrying about injuring myself or anything, I'm just trying to do anything to win that game at that time."

Rose said he still has a lot of confidence in his game, despite the long stretch on the sidelines.

"I really think I'm a special player, in my mind. I still have youth -- I'm only 25, so just doing everything I'm supposed to do in rehab, strengthening everything, and taking it one day at a time and getting the most out of every day. That's where I've been preparing for this moment," Rose said.

"The only thing I'm missing is probably my wind. Everything else, making shots, getting people in rhythm, all that comes naturally to me, especially as hard as I've been working over the summer with my jump shot."

Rose says along with working on other aspects of his game, he's learned a lot about body control.

"I'm able to control my body more using my speed. Being smart with my speed, instead of just running wild out there, just being smart, I think I'm a smarter player but I'm mad it took me seven years to learn that," Rose said.

Derrick saying he will be off the ball more. Ralph rumors. Unbalanced roster. Waiters asking on twitter specifically about Rose.

Of course, each one of these could be explained individually, but it does seem like there's some circumstantial evidence there. Not a huge Waiters fan, just looking at the evidence here. Probably nothing.

Paul George:

On Derrick Rose:
“He looked great. He looked like he didn’t miss a beat. It looked like he played last season as well as a full season before that. I’m happy to see him back on the floor. Although he’s in the East and in the Central Division, I still hate to see guys go down. It’s great to see him out here. He looks great and I’m excited to play alongside him.” - TeamUSA

Better get your head in the game this year Paul. We are coming back for our division.

Yeah guys! Cleveland won't trade with Chicago! Except for all those times they did. But those times don't count.
