Most likely, this is it. I'm guessing this case settles unless there is a sticking point, as in, either party refuses to settle because they want their day in court. I've seen a number of people here, along with a some articles, say that we should hold off making evaluations until the facts are better known. That's probably not really how this is going to work.
In some ways, I think Kobe Bryant has benefited in the court of public perception from winning his criminal case. It allowed people to discount the victims accusations. Derrick Rose is never going to get the opportunity to defend himself in a criminal action, unless there is an active investigation that later leads to indictment, which seems unlikely given the amount of time that has passed.
