I think there's sorta a well earned bias against his sort of skillset and stats at the NCAA level. It can be hard to shot hunt against elite athletes and Luka is the exception not the rule.

Anyone think Newell goes to Wash here? Seems like a solid pick for their young core?

Idk why everyone wants kj so bad, at this point I’d take him but he’s basically gonna be tj McConnell for a team and I guess that’s useful in 10 years for someone

Oh I totally read Essengue's measureables wrong then. I only saw his wingspan in the Siakam comp.

Kid isn't even 19 until xmas, I am curious to see how tall he gets.

exactly. dude is a unit. we have been BEGGING this FO to draft defensive rim protecting "big men" (today's nba that just means rim protector / rim runner ) for years.

Good job. We swung and took our shot, if we miss, oh well at least we took it.

Nevermind Utah trades for 18 - they need a PG and a shooter...KJ makes a lot of sense or Walter Clayton Jr

Every single pick from 10-30 (besides the Celtics) has been traded (multiple times in some cases) from the home team. Kind of wild.

Kasparas in free fall. I think whoever gets him will get a solid guard. You can't go wrong with decent size, good 3P shot, vision and handles. I guess Sato existed. We'll see.

This. I am glad they are trying to get a modern big. Took them way too long and at least with Giddey on the team we now have someone who knows how to throw a lob.

I'm kind of disappointed we didn't see any really significant trades (the ATL NO one was weird).

Remember when the Bucks drafted this young, skinny, super long kid who could handle the ball but couldn't shoot? Dropped in the draft, still can't shoot till this day. Listed at 6'10, 205. Overseas guy, about the same age. Turned out pretty well for them.

Well, Miami didn't get the chance to nab Clayton at 20 like many thought.

He's a crazy physical prospect. We haven't taken anyone like this in a long time. Maybe Tyrus and he was obviously much more draft capital spent.
