That will happen on the day that players can officially sign a contract. His numbers were trending up for every year he had been in the league until that injury. He shot 37 and 38% on three over the last two seasons, with 49% and 35% career fg averages in 2pt and 3pt shots. His explosiveness is still there despite the two surgeries. He is the closest thing to Carmelo Anthony that you are going to get in terms of scoring, and he at least plays within a team concept. Bring the kid back home because next year's free-agency is not promised with too many teams with money.

You might be on to something. I still think Milwaukee matches. But Jabari as a Bull would be nice. Then bring on Davis. :)

Yeah. Then go get Jah and DRose. Pat B and Evan Turner too. Have a Chicago AAU reunion.

Dont sign nobody...Including Nwaba...

Let the market dictate Zachs money...If its more than 16M/yr let him walk...tank again...get one year deals in exchange for future picks...I would like to let him walk tbh...

If he does next year Bulls can add 2 max players with a core of:

Lauri
Carter
2019 pick
Dunn
Portis
Hutchison
Valentine
MAX FA
MAX FA

Thats not bad at all imo

Good luck getting 1 much less 2 star players coming to that dumpster fire roster.

Also more teams will have cap space next year and yes if bulls don’t do well this season then these max free agents will not choose to come here. This was a rare time where the bulls were one of 5 teams with a lot of cap space but didn’t take advantage and they still are trying to sell us the “rebuild” bs. They could have gotten a really solid team together if they wanted to especially now that a lot of players are accepting short term deals.

Yes. Are you telling me Demarcus Cousins wouldnt take the max to join us this season instead of the warriors for 5M? EASILY...Hes not here because we dont want/need him.

Market is tight and teams with space will have a huge advantage.

Bulls should offer Jabari 1+1T at 30 mil total.

Then trade Lopez and Holiday for Deng, 2019 Lakers 1st, 2019 Bulls 2nd back.

Then offer Lavine 4/70

Dunn Payne Grant
Lavine Valentine
Jabari Hutchinson
Lauri Portis Deng
Wendell Felicio Asik

I actually meant what I said :D This is exactly what they should be doing - just wait it out, and then play the rookies + the Butler triplets heavy minutes.

By all star break we should be wiser on what we've got, and ready hit the 2019 FA market.
Ahh ok, my bad! Im so used to reading that in a sarcastic way on this board from a select few so are complaining about the Bulls not signing anyone thus far.

I'd like to keep Nwaba but not at a ridiculous number. And I'd rather just take a draft pick back if we're going to let him go.

Bulls were one of those teams that had an absolute no stance on Boogie. Not sure if it has to do with attitude or the injury, however. I've heard from a few people in the know.

Being a headcase already discounted a lot of his talent, now adding to that an Achilles injury for a huge guy with all of that weight who relies heavily on a face-up game... Cousins may very well be on the Lakers' Dwight Howard career arc now. I really hope the league didn't just lose its most dominant center, but I'm glad the Bulls didn't take that risk.

As a huge DeMarcus Cousins fan, I understand not taking the risk. That injury is the issue. At the same time, none of us have a right to complain about him going to the Warriors though if we didn't want him on our team.

Thats a GREAT move by Philly, it also takes them out of the K. Leonard sweepstakes for a while. Chandler can still play....

I don't personally have an issue with him going to GSW, I think he's the one making the mistake signing there more than anything. If he's signing a prove-it deal he should be proving it by being a top option somewhere rather than coasting to a ring. At a certain point you only have 1 ball to share and the excess of talent give you diminishing returns. I understand the frustration of the All-NBA team signing to GSW but I think it's more shocking that New Orleans let him go after trading away a modest amount of assets for him.
