He’s the rich man’s Felicio of this decade. The stingy Reinsdorf Bulls ain’t the Bulls without one preposterous contract on the books (E-Rob, Booze cruise, etc.). Almost makes the frugality all the more comical. You throw your money at inconsequential players like RoLo (we didn’t have to take his long term salary for Rose’s expiring) or Tre Jones, but you hardball your actual primary options or ditch your top scoring/microwave threats (Jamal, BG, Belinelli, Nate, to name a very few).

I’m low on Pat. But the bright side is it wouldn’t take much for him to be a “competent” rotation player. Get in shape (lighter weight), stay healthy, and maintain his ballpark career 3P% while adding 1-2 3PAs. He did look heavy and particularly hurt the past year.
