What is Noah asking of him that is out of line?
All Rose needs to do is make it clear to Melo that he wants him on the team. Which by all reports, he has done that.
Also, let's remember Rose has a habit of contradicting himself.
Talk about uncertainty with team USA and then goes on to say he can't wait to show everyone that he's still the same player. It is what it is.
The way I interpreted those comments was that Rose doesn't want to play, for real, until he knows he can show everybody he is still the same. Because he then hinted that he may not be. He is "still working out those wrinkles" as he put it. His "body is responding well, but you never know." He'll see how he feels and" if it feels right and the time is right, he'll play" This is the same rhetoric we were getting during the ACL rehab tail end. He was ready but wanted to be 110%. But, again he "could have played, a long time ago."
This is the attitude that has to stop and he needs to realize that part of the rehab is playing in real games, and you're never going to get to even 100% until you have a bunch of those. Even Michael, when he came back from MUCH less time missed altogether in both his foot injury in his 2nd season and his baseball hiatus. MJ missed what 130ish games. Rose has missed a couple hundred. He's played 50 games in three years and missed three playoffs in a row.. (yeah let that sink in while you criticize the FO), It took Michael a full season to really be himself. Sure he had moments and big games (dropping 55 oin the Knikcs) , but he didn't start to really be MJ, the GOAT, and get his timing and his team play, his flooor game that made everybody better, down again, for awhile.
