NBA-TV said he signed or was going to sign with the Raptor.

I'll miss Kurt, but his productive season last year was against the grain for his age. Something like an Evel Knievel stunt where at the end of it you say, "He made it!" with relief and shock. But this year is a new jump, and he could as easily crash and burn.

I'll miss him - but just in case he is good again, glad he's not an eastern playoff team.

He was invaluable to us last year.

Really disappointed he aint coming back. Terrific vet to have around.

I guess Portland need some sexy after their last few days.

His role would have certainly been smaller this year. I would have much rather taken a "chance" on him this year vs. any of the other FA centers available, assuming he was willing to take the vet min.

OK WTF is the front office doing???? Only 11 players on the court 2 of them shouldn't even be on an NBA roster in Head and Scal. No backup big, no starting SG signed, everyone getting better and the Bulls standing pat. Last year was last year 62 wins is over, this is a new year.....At this rate I fully expect RIP and Billups to team up in LA.

Calm down. They can't sign Rip yet b/c his buyout isn't yet official.

Did Kurt Thomas signing a 2-year contract with an injury-ravaged team really push you over the edge?

Relax Imagge. The Bulls are going to be just fine. This FO got us to the ECF last year where, if not for injuries & a cold-shooting Korver, we could've won the championship. I'm looking at it like this: Other teams are trying to catch up with us. We needed an upgrade at SG & we're close to doing that with Rip Hamilton. Everything else will fall into place, my friend.

Yes because I hate the RIP signing. The Bulls need a more dynamic player. We are the same team with a bigger ego player in RIP.

Scalabrine is a bench coach who can log a few emergency minutes. Head is a more offensively oriented, likely cheaper version of Bogans. Except he'll probably play the end of the bench role that Bogans should have had. There's a chance he'll shoot his way into an Eddie House role, except he'd be a little less of a defensive liability.

Relax man, we'll be ok.

Kurt Thomas has a nice skill set, but what he does is replaceable.

Asik has a chance to be elite defensively, to change the game plan some star players have on opposing teams. he therefore should get every minute backing up Noah and on top of that should challenge for some of Noah's own minutes

Choice is clear. Use 3rd string C as a spot to save payroll.
