Are you sure it was footage from today? In preseason, Rose had a little jump shot session before a game at the UC that the media was allowed to film.

Derrick Rose has been dunking for weeks, but he is not close to returning to practice.
There also are people close to the Chicago Bulls' guard who believe he shoudn't play at all this season. In fact, any suggestion that Rose could come back from his torn ACL before March is an unrealistic hope.
Rose tore the ACL in his left knee in late April and had surgery on May 12.
Rose has been sprinting, cutting and jumping for weeks now and has recently been spotted finishing sprints at the Bulls' practice facility.
Coach Tom Thibodeau told reporters on Tuesday that Rose is a long way from joining the team on the practice court.

What you'll discover is that Rise not playing this season, or the possibility therein, has more to do with perceptions about management and the current state of the roster, than any risk of re-injury.

There are those in his camp who don't think he should play at all this season, for a couple of reasons: first, and foremost, the Bulls don't have a championship-caliber roster, so why shorten the strength and conditioning period for his knee to drag them into the playoffs or an extra round or two deeper. Second, don't mask just how flawed this roster is by coming back and finishing up strong.
