Typical Bulls organization. We're so tight lipped.

Lol, they showed him shooting jumpers during the game. Woops.

I say this before in other thread and I say this again...

I was excepting there is going to be some buzz regarding Derrick Rose once December hits and it already begins, this won't be the last either. I am guessing the buzz will cool down for a bit, and say couple weeks, or so there is going to be a new buzz regarding Derrick Rose, and it is possible him doing something different regarding the rehab process, or clear to practice with the team.

As I say before I think we will see Derrick Rose return at some point this season, and I could see him return sometime in January at the earliest, or February at the latest no later unless there is a setback, or something goes really wrong.

Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said Tuesday that Derrick Rose is not close to being able to practice and wouldn't commit to it happening before the new year.

"Who knows?" Thibodeau said after Tuesday's shootaround. "He's a long ways away from that, but he's doing well. He's doing well."

http://espn.go.com/chicago/nba/story/_/ ... practicing

I read this as "Yeah, he's pretty close to returning, but we want to keep the team focused on playing games, and Rose focused on finishing up his rehab."

Are you sure it was footage from today? In preseason, Rose had a little jump shot session before a game at the UC that the media was allowed to film.

I think it's from today because I was watching on the Pacers feed, and they were talking a bit about Derrick Rose, and say which we already know that he is been shooting the ball when there is a home game, and they show the footage I am 80% sure it was today footage.

If he's been cutting already for 2 weeks and practicing within say 3-4 weeks, it should theoretically make him available in about 6-7 weeks?

Ric Bucher channeling K.C. Jones:

Derrick Rose has been dunking for weeks, but he is not close to returning to practice.

There also are people close to the Chicago Bulls' guard who believe he shoudn't play at all this season. In fact, any suggestion that Rose could come back from his torn ACL before March is an unrealistic hope.

Rose tore the ACL in his left knee in late April and had surgery on May 12.

Rose has been sprinting, cutting and jumping for weeks now and has recently been spotted finishing sprints at the Bulls' practice facility.

Coach Tom Thibodeau told reporters on Tuesday that Rose is a long way from joining the team on the practice court.

Click on the article. Click the source link at the bottom that pulls up Bucher's twitter. Click the link that matches his tweet.

What you'll discover is that Rise not playing this season, or the possibility therein, has more to do with perceptions about management and the current state of the roster, than any risk of re-injury.

I believe you DaeDae.

Either way, his family/circle have more control in the organization than posters here want to believe. I said it back then & I definitely stand by it now.

This team is already using a tight, high-minute rotation. Rip is injured, Noah looks sluggish, Boozer isn't producing at last year's levels, Hinrich sucks as expected, Gibson's been inconsistent to start...

A lot is slowly but quickly starting to pile on.

Tanking might not be hard if injuries pile up and the bench continues sucking. Not liking the chances right now with the way we're riding Noah and Deng in the 40's every night.

DaeDae pointed out the following Ric Bucher article to me:

Derrick Rose has been dunking for weeks, but let's stop the madness

He's not anywhere close to practicing or playing. There are those in his camp who don't think he should play at all this season, for a couple of reasons: first, and foremost, the Bulls don't have a championship-caliber roster, so why shorten the strength and conditioning period for his knee to drag them into the playoffs or an extra round or two deeper. Second, don't mask just how flawed this roster is by coming back and finishing up strong.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

But any suggestions that he could come back before March, from what I'm told, is filling the fan base and everyone else with unrealistic hope that a championship run is still in the equation.
