This would be a good trade but knowing how inept Gar/Pax are I don't believe it.

If this draft is as deep as everyone says, finding teams willing to move down 5 spots for an extra pick won't be too tough. Rookie contracts are gold in this CBA.
Only in one of the worst drafts in a very long time. That does not carry over to one of the best.
Yeah, but two first rounders in this draft and you could move from something like say, 16 and 17 (Washington pick from PHX and Charlotte pick) to 11 or 12 if someone like LaVine falls to there.
Having 3 rookies like Mirotic, LaVine, and Parker would go a long way towards rebuilding and I think Parker and Rose would actually bond very quickly due to their Simeon roots and "hometown hero" status.
Then Taj, Noah, Rose, Augustin, and even Jimmy serve as vets next year. Bring back Nazr in the Big Sexy role and maybe even keep Dunleavy. I wouldn't worry about 3 rookies with those vets and Thibs.
I've really fizzled on the idea of keeping Jo, I don't think he gives us the inside presence we need. He's 6'11 with a 7 ft wingspan supposedly yet guys like Hibbert can make a living off him mostly. He gets bullied down low and I think we need a stronger presence.
I'd be ecstatic if we moved him and Deng. I think as many picks in this draft the better. And we free up cap if we take in good contracts.
Likely Thibs walks and that's just fine I'm tired of him.

I love Noah. My main concern with him is his constant injuries. Some guys could get by on constant injuries, but Noah's game just becomes so much less effective when he is hobbled, which is often. Even still he has put up some brilliant performances injured, but its a ticking time bomb until he has played himself to the point he can't play. We could surely get some good assets out of him. I believe we could even package Boozer with him to move that salary and still get assets back, although I think assets has to be the key.

Basically you want the Bulls to just nuke this team.

I pretty much do for the reasons stated. Noah is consistently injured which severely affects his game. And, he seems to get bullied down low as well. Again, I appreciate his heart and tenacity, but with his lack of an offensive game, and his knack for getting injured, I'd let him go easily.
Back on topic: Some of you are crazy if you think you're going to get Eric Bledsoe and PJ Tucker along with Emeka, a 1st round pick and filler. Bledsoe is not getting traded, end of discussion. And Deng for a 1st round pick is still a great deal. You could probably get a pick between 20 and the end of the 1st round in which you can take Kyle Anderson.

I honestly don't think Kyle Anderson will last until pick 20. I think while he is slightly below average athletically, his smarts and skillset is the 2nd or 3rd best in college basketball right now. Add that to the fact that he has so far shown an improved jumper, and I would love to draft him just with the Charlotte pick. As for Deng & Noah, I think both need to go if we somehow get the number 2 or 3 pick and get Embiid. However, trading both won't happen.
However (won't happen)
Rose
Some Shooting Guard
Butler/Kyle Anderson
Mirotic
Embiid

I rather keep Noah. I think sometimes we just underrate what he does for us but I also understand why u want to get rid of him.
I never asked for bledsoe as PHX just got him. The only guy i asked for was markieff which isn't far fetched.

Re: Has Schanowski reported a Deng/Okafor trade with PHX?
Personally I would trade Deng with no draft pick(or future/protected pick( in return if I could also unload Boozer. And I'd still try to trade Noah for a draft pick. Would still give us two mid-late firsts to play with along with the big lotto pick, and A LOT of payroll flexibility in either 2014 or 2015. I say possibly 2015, because in order to maximize actual value from Noah, you should look at not just expiring deals, and 2015 is a bigger year than 2014 anyways. But 2016 could be the next "2010" class anyways. Either way I think we would have the flexibility to add big salary whenever the opportunity arose.
But Deng and Noah each for picks and unloading Boozer as an amnesty or just finishing out his contract works too.

That's a solid blow it the hell up plan. I'd honestly just get the pick for Deng though and amnesty Boozer. You can round out your roster that way.
Our 1st round pick
Bobcats 1st round pick
Noah 1st round pick
Deng 1st round pick
Then you also have Derrick Rose and can see what you can get out of Mirotic. I'd also inquire on Asik again and give up the latest 1st rounder out of the 4 picks.

Food for thought is the diminishing return of yet another 1st round pick (can only trade/consolidate or Euro-stash so much) plus the value of straight saving money vs an amnesty which just saves cap space, when it comes to having an owner known to be pretty frugal.

Re: Has Schanowski reported a Deng/Okafor trade with PHX?
I live out in Arizona so I see more Suns games than Bulls games these days, I'm amazed at what PHX has done this year. Bledsoe looks legit. Him and Dragic play well together. The Morris twins are playing terrific. Even Miles Plumlee and Gerald Green have had some great games. If Suns can maintain this pace (which is a big if), Hornacek is unquestionably Coach of the Year.
As for Deng, I suppose PHX could trade Okafor and a pick for Deng. He would be an upgrade over PJ Tucker who currently starts at SF. Looking at their picks, I would venture to guess they would offer the WSH pick because MIN and PHX may not make the playoffs with how good the West is this year. The East is so bad, if WSH gets hot, they could be the friggin' third seed.
This would mean that ultimately the Suns traded Gortat for Deng. Pretty good deal for PHX.

I hope the Bulls can re-sign Deng. Trading him for draft picks is a waste because those picks are unproven talent that might take years to develop--I'd rather have veteran guys next to Derrick who have proven they can play well. Deng fits that criteria, and then some.

I figure that would have hurt the development of Plumlee and the Morris twins. Gortat would have eaten about 30 mpg. It's interesting because everyone out here thought trading Gortat was to give Len minutes and yet he's basically been nothing more than a first row spectator all year.
That was a great trade because Okafor is hurt so he isn't playing which was optimal for the organization's initial plans for rebuilding. Plus they netted a 1st which in this draft could lead to a decent role player for next year's rotation. Of course, it turned out this team is much, much better on the court than on paper so now they can flip Okafor's expiring plus their multiple 1sts and other cheap contracts for an all-star caliber player.
I'm a little skeptical of them going for Deng. I think PHX aims for something bigger. I don't know who exactly is on their radar, but their GM McDonough hasn't made a bad trade yet.

Trade Deng and Teague for Okafor, Ish Smith, and a 1st.
Then go talk to the Bucks about a Noah, Bobcats pick, and pick from Suns for Larry Sanders
Wouldnt happen, but that would be great. Give the Bucks more picks for their rebuild. We give a defensive star back and he is younger.

He is 25, avged 9 and 9 last year and was only improving. As good on defense or possibly better than Noah. The picks would be around 18-20. Dont want too many rookies on the team. Friendly deal of 4yrs 44mil starting next year. Only reason I wouldnt do it is because of character issues. But they say a team can handle 1 problem player in a locker room.
Starting lineup and current age for next year:
Rose (25)--DJ (26)
Butler (24)--Snell (22)
Bulls 2014 1st (19-21)--FA
Mirotic (22)--Taj (29)
Sanders (25)--FA
