Now that's the Euro player worth keeping and investing in it.

It seems like the Bulls organization is taking a different approach with respect to player's development. They are running things like an academy now, and they promise to be patient and disciplined in that approach. They must have told Zipser it is best that he sticks around to work on his game. This is an important Summer for Zipser, because he'll have the opportunity to cement his place as solid nba player.

Excited to see Dunn and Laurie play. Hopefully we finally get to see Hoiball this upcoming season now that ball stoppers are gone or will be soon.

Once we get Wade out, it will be fun watching a group of young players running up and down the court, giving maximum efforts, regardless of the outcome. Valentine can now be himself without looking over his shoulders and Dunn will have the freedom to be what he was coming out of college, which Thibs would not allow him to do.

Yes, we are in tanking mode already. I am already programmed and conditioned for the outcome. Nobody will outtank us this coming season.

Should be a pretty strong SL team again. Hoping we see a step up from some of these guys. Looks like we have some solid signings as well - wouldn't be surprised to see someone get a contract offer.

Blakeney is only 20 and he's got an athletic base to work with, so if he shows anything I would like to give him a shot. We need super young guys.

Does anyone know what the situation is with the undrafted guys like Dozier, Motley, Oliver etc.? Did they sign with the teams or is it just SL deals that other teams can poach if they want?

Motley I think signed a two way deal with the Mavs. So he gets paid both like a minor leaguer in baseball would.

Not sure how a summer league player is gonna make the roster if you believe Paxson on roster spots.
Can't fit a talented big but can fit a SL guy?

IIRC

Dozier signed with the Lakers
Oliver signed with the Rockets

I kind of like the fact that Zach won't be back until January, because it gives a great opportunity to evaluate Valentine fairly. Now, if we could only start Wade on the injured list, it would be priceless. I know it is going to be ugly on many nights, but I am willing to live with the results. I'd let Felicio walk if he thinks he is going to get more than the MLE.

If Niko stayed with Bulls to work on his game after his strong rookie year. Instead going at Eurobasket, he maybe could have ended different player. But he did not. And he didnt even stay again next year. It was crucial last chance for him to develop and add to his game, he was 23 when he come.

And Zipser is now 23.

Ze Germans actually had massive hassle with Tibor Pleiss who skipped the national team last summer in favor of trying out to resign with a NBA team after being sacked by Utah.
The move was regarded as favoring money to national pride. That kind of thing.
Wonder if that also happens to Zipser.
Summer camp has shown us that our younglings can squat 80 lbs etc via instagram.
Fred is probably celebrating.

I wonder if the honestly let Zipser start at SF without FA.Cause Zipser only played half a season starting in February. That is often ignored.

It's already happening. It's basically the reason for the reports about Zipser skipping the tournament. Most people in Germany don't care about basketball, the Eurobasket and they probably don't know who Paul Zipser is. But now the media has given the people a reason to complain and that's what they love to do. It's ridiculous.

Not really, if you are a developing player you have a short window to seize an opportunity. Playing for your home country is nice but this is still a job, if he goes and plays for Germany and plays great but then misses the opportunity to gain a bigger role then it could be a moment where 3-4 years from now he regrets it.

The better he develops the more valuable he is to the German team anyways.

I'm going to the LS Vegas summer league this year. I went last year and it was amazing! I encourage everybody to come and check it out you won't be disappointed. Its non-stop basketball all day. I sat right behind Gar Forman last year and heard him talking about signing Zisper. I actually opened up a tread last summer about it lol. My whole point is that it's a lot of fun. Word of advice, don't say anything bad about the lakers up there. There fans are crazy and out-number everybody lol.

Do we know who's playing for the Bulls this summer league? My guess should be Dunn, Payne, Valentine, Zisper, Markennan, Brimah,Walker........ I hope Payne plays but I'm not sure if anybody confirmed it. I think the bulls have the 5th best SL roster besides LA, Boston, Philly, Kings,

That's pretty awesome, I'm going this year and I'm hoping to get an upclose and personal experience.

I plan on buying tickets there (to avoid the processing fees), is that a good idea? Or should I buy them online?
