Also, this is unlikely but I really would like the Bulls to buy a 2nd rounder in this draft. There are some potentially good rotation players in the 31-45 range...guys like Brunson, Bonga, Wagner, Melton and Diallo available.
You worrying about the wrong thing. How good do you think this team can be? For me until we feel they have championship potential like the arose years keep tinkering away IMO. I think this current team is 1st rd playoff status unless something drastic happens. Whether its MPJ or Young or whoever else they will probably be with Lauri the two best players on the team eventually.

If there's ever a draft to trade up, or trade back, it's probably this one. Each of the top 7-8 prospects have some obvious holes in their games, and it really seems like a crap shoot as to which of them will become all-stars.

We all have our favorites - personally I'm only trading up if the Bulls are in a position to grab JJJ or Doncic. Otherwise, I'll be very content with whoever we draft at #7.

There really hasn't been many stories with ties between Doncic and the Bulls for whatever reason. Is it a coincidence, or are the Bulls trying to misdirect?

He seems to be almost perfectly suited for the Bulls, at least on paper, but maybe the Bulls decision makers simply don't think highly of him as an NBA player, or maybe they do but are keeping their interest under lock and key.

Your first sentence explains why I'm taking whoever comes to me at 7. The only thing I know is right or wrong I'm not looking outside them 7 for a pick unless I think I've found a D.Mitchell of this draft which is probably hard to do.

If I had the #1 I would take Bagley-I have a feeling the dog in him will make him a star. Orebounding is almost dead-I can see that being our niche and him leading the charge

I posted a simple deal to get to #5. I would be HAPPY with JJJ, Bamba, Doncic or Bagley, so Dallas is the target

Matthews/#5 for Portis, Valentine, #7 (can sub in Holiday for Valentine)

Matthews expires next summer and provides another solid vet leader. We get our stud, then deal the #22 for #14 and Faried

Dunn/Payne
Lavine/Matthews
Holiday/Nwaba
Lauri/Faried
roLo/JJJ or Bagley or Bamba (I doubth Doncic gets past Memphis)

Plus the #14-let's say Knox. We enter next summer with an awesome, talented young core and relatively unlimited cap space

Anthony Davis? I don't think so. Bagley right now is a pretty terrible defender.

Right now, you bank on Bagley being a great rebounder and a scorer. With the hopes that he eventually becomes a good lock down defender. I don't think he will ever be an DOPY candidate, but he has the athletic ability to be able to defend 1 to 5, he just needs to become more willing to learn the other side of the floor.

I don't want Lauri at C

As always, thanks for the info TR!!!

Man, I might be alone on this, but I just don't see it with Bagley. He sure can jump! But that's about it.
This draft seems very deep, but is also one of the hardest to read in recent years. I'll trust GarPax on this one and will wait for at least a year to complain about it, lol.

We haven't reached a point where we're trying to trade up, but it's an option. Honestly I usually avoid any draft info this early anyways, think my next update will come night before draft or something.

Before you go, is there any buzz about a deal with Denver?

You must be getting paid to put these information out there. #7 alone may end up being better than Doncic. Thank God you are not the GM.

I'm all for moving up for any of said spoken prospects but Dunn/Portis/#22 and the #7 swap? Are we moving to #1 overall?? Thats a whole hell of alot of pieces some of you are willing to give up for one player.

I don't see Chicago giving up on Dunn but for Luka, maybe. He would be a great floor general.

I'm cool moving up as far as Memphis or Dallas, anything lower than that and ur taking a real leap of faith in one guy that may not even be better than #7

I'd make that move for Bagley as well. No way he won't be a great NBA player.

Establish a core of Lauri and Doncic and build from there.

Not really a fan of Doncic. I think he might be 5th or 6th on my board. I think he has huge bust potential and really only place him that high due to how good others seem to think he is. There's a part of me that would still be wary of taking him at 10.

He's a wing player that lacks athleticism and shooting touch. It's really hard for me to see how that plays out positively in the NBA.

The problem is we don't really know what we have in Lavine and arguably Dunn. I'm not saying build the roster around them but at least see what you have in them without bringing up the small sample size they had with the Bulls.

If the Bulls are trading up I really don’t think it will be for Luka. People may not like it( I do) but it would be for Bagley or Porter.

Don't really see it being Porter. There's nothing about Porter that really has a Bulls feel to it to me. I bet they are infatuated with Mo Bamba if I had to guess.

Is he any less athletic than someone like Gordon Hayward?

Between the two I think Lauri has more potential at C. But I’d be looking to roster a big-bodied C on the cheap to save them both wear and tear. Like a Dedmon type. Or Rolo on a new contract.

It's hard to gauge Bagley. He entered college as a Lamar Odom/less-skilled Ben Simmons type, and he left college as something totally different. He reminds me of a slightly smaller KAT. He has skills and motor, but he's not a high IQ player nor is he a freak athlete like Deandre Jordan or Clint Capella are. I think he'll produce gaudy numbers, but he's going to leave fans disappointed.

Marvin Bagley is going to be better than KAT

KAT is nothing but a taller, three point shooting Carlos Boozer.

The beauty of this draft (IMO) is there are at least 6 really good players, 7 if you feel good about Porter’s back, and 8 if you think Young can cut it aize and strength wise. But if the Bulls like Porter, there is no reason to trade up, because: Ayton, Bamba, Bagley, Carter Jr, Johnson, and Doncic are all building blocks. I feel good about #7... no need to give away assets when we are still in asset aquisition mode.
