shot 48/39/73 last year and shooting 60/60/100 this year.

The way I see it, PW has a year to learn how to be a good 3 and D guy. That's the first step in becoming anything in the NBA and will always be useful regardless of what else happens. He's already got a good 3 point shot, he just has to improve his decision making when the ball swings to him (when to shoot, pump, drive/pass, etc.). His instincts are pretty off when it comes this, but he's also just 20 years old, and the hope is that he develops better decision making through experience. On the defensive side, it's pretty simple, he's got to be more active everywhere. His motor should be higher than anyone else's on that side of the ball since he's not being asked to do much on the offensive side. He's got the tools, just needs to learn how to use them.

If the above fails, well we probably have Tony Snell 2.0.

Prime Jo on our current team would have been extra filthy on D. Dude spent his prime as an under 100 DRating anchor, playing 2/3s of his minutes with Carlos, no less. I think we all appreciate how much of a defensive beast Jo was here. If only we could clone him...

I agree, the question is how long it will take him to get there? We’re about to go through the toughest part of our schedule and we can’t afford for him to keep playing like he has been. Tonight will be a big game for PWills stock going up against Julius Randle on National TV. If Randle 40 pieces him I’m selling.

There is a PF hole, it's just that Stanley Johnson is worse than the other sub-par options we have.

For the time being I like the idea of fixing the backup center hole with an decent backup center we actually have on the roster. Putting a normal sized center in the second unit makes it much easier to get by with a bunch of SF sized PFs.

I’m not ditching him, but we are trying to win now. He is better suited to come of the bench because he clearly doesn’t know what he is doing which is sad after starting every game last season.

Taj Gibson would've been absolutely perfect. That's the level we're missing.

Not exactly a perfect fit, but what about Kyle Anderson? He's a good scheme defender, kinda switchable. Ok, not a strong rim protector or rebounder, but he's not a dull in those areas either.

9 million expiring contract in a team that probably won't resign him. That sounds pretty "gettable".
