What Tom Foolery punts doesn't inspire confidence in a team?

- Caleb coaching Flus last week
- Flus in game decisions cause head scratches amongst Bears nation.
- Williams senior calling the team brass out for accountability.
- Various team leaders making dissatisfaction known
- Players finally looked like they quit on the field

It doesn’t get much worse for a coach to deal with. Granted, last season the heat under Flus was just as intense and they did somehow right the ship. I’m expecting Poles to give Flus the chance to finish the season. Poles has been carrying this dude for a long time.

It really sucks on all levels. We're a bad team still. We picked the wrong qb (again...looks like). And the same nepo geezer owners are still in charge of incompetently left to (fail) figure this mess out YET AGAIN.

i thought caleb was doing well today until the game started slipping away. and he has been ok on the season. certainly nowhere near daniels's performance, but nobody would have taken daniels #1. so hard to categorize as a screwup

Maybe they picked the wrong quarterback, IDK, but nobody in their right mind would tell you that Daniels or Maye or McCarthy would be balling out in Chicago either.

His old tired delusional diatribe in the presser, listened to 1 minute of that vomit and turned it off. Dude has no clue he's lost the team, none.

caleb hasn't been great either roflcopter

dunno what to tell ya. the line was pretty darn good for much of today's game. and there have been other similar games. there have been injury issues and shuffling/inconsistent performance on the interior. i thought poles would go for a more proven long-term solution at center but he didn't. ok, fine. nate has been an inexplicable bust at RG. fine. is shelton worth sticking with for next year? dunno. will poles take another significant FA swing at C or RG? dunno. will jenkins get re-upped? dunno. will poles make the worst possible move, misdiagnose and spend big on a LT (or use the first rounder on it)? wouldn't put it past him!

bottom line is that the line has NOT been the major issue w/ the offense

avg. time before throw or pressure this year has been 2.4 seconds for both caleb and daniels. but caleb led the league coming into today with 54 poor throws, whereas daniels was better than avg. w/ 29 poor throws

justin led the league in time before throw or pressure last year at 2.8 secs. the line was not the issue

I don't think trading for him was a mistake, but you have to consider the landscape at the time of the trade.

March 12th, Mooney signs with Atlanta
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39715502/falcons-sign-wr-darnell-mooney-3-year-39m-deal

March 14th is when the Bears traded for Allen.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39735083/chargers-trading-wr-keenan-allen-bears-4th-rounder

Odunze wasn't drafted until April 25th, and the Bears didn't know if he would even be there.

So at the time of trading for Allen, the only WR's under contract on the roster were DJ Moore, VJJ and Tyler Scott. Clayfool was such a bust he was traded for pocket lint halfway through the prior season, and VJJ was so bad at WR that he was moved to RB at camp, then cut mid-season. Tyler Scott has yet to make a catch this season.

If Odunze would not have been there at #7, it would not look like a bad trade now.

But now that we have Odunze, and the season is starting to unravel, moving Allen to a contender would be a good way to recoup some assets.

Justin is a backup quarterback in Pittsburgh. Not sure where you’re headed with this.

Flus and Waldron absolutely need to get fired at the end of the season.

This season was lost the moment that hail mary happened.

which is why it was such an obvious move to sign a #2/3 WR in free agency. said so at the time. re-signing mooney would have been just fine! save the pick, spend the leftover money elsewhere

The Bears were pressured nearly 50% of the drop backs today.

No QB will be ok in that situation.

Getsy is about to be fired.
Eberflus is about to be fired.

Justin got benched for a HOF QB and was 4-2 as a starter, he's going to get a job next year.

The Bears just got destroyed by a team that played Bears football.

Poles biggest indictment is Flus. He made a mistake bringing him back. He must replace him with an elite offensive coach. Waldron has been so inept that I no longer have confidence in Poles.
