That would put the Bulls in line for poor mans Zach Lavine in Tre Johnson.

He's not my top pick, but based on where the Bulls might end up I'd be ok with it. They need to add as much talent as they can.

Draft Tre and then trade Coby for whatever assets you can get. Trade Vucevic too if you can

Then tank and try to get a star player in the 2026 draft.

I say this and don't think AK will do any of it.

Top 4 will be Flagg, Harper, Bailey and VJ. The 5-6 range is KJ and Tre. I think KJ has kind of fallen off slightly since Illinois has hit a rough patch and Tre has been averaging 21 points over his last 9 games and he had good size 6'6" & 6'10" wingspan.

KJ is who I'd like the Bulls to get, but I'd be okay with either one.

They'll need more so tanking in 2026 is important too.

KJ is averaging 14.2 points (21% from 3) over his last 7 games with 3.4 turnovers and 3.4 assists.

Of that 4-6 tier, KJ is the one I want the least, he's just not doing it for me. Don't get me wrong, if he's the last man standing when the Bulls pick I'll be fine with it, but I'm just not seeing how well his game translates and I find his high turnover numbers concerning.

But I'm flip flopping on a bunch of prospects.

It's still early. A lot can change between now and the draft. Maybe a Euro prospect stands out and ends up being a surprise...? Who knows. Time will tell.

I think the Bulls should aim for the 6th pick (not counting lottery luck). Tonights game could help with that.

I'd like to add that KJ kind of overlaps with Giddey, but I prefer KJ to Giddey.

I’m still willing to bet he’ll be a better player than Giddey.

There is no chance we lose to sixers tonight. And there is no chance we finish behind the sixers on the year. Bulls are going to keep trying to win games, and the sixers are absolutely tanking. I would bet large sums of money on the bulls finishing higher in standings than the sixers.

Yeah, fair enough.

But if you told me the Bulls would beat the Sixers (or any team for that matter) by 32 points with Giddey, Huerter and Zach Collins as their leading scorers I would have called you crazy.

Guess we've got to pray for lottery luck even more, top 4 pick please.

Brooklyn lost to Washington also.

Double (tank) loss today.

Well, I put my money where my mouth was on the money line and was rewarded quite nicely.

Portland scraped out a win over the Jazz, so that's helpful at least.

We need to bring back Felicio and Snell. A proper Tank needs its commanders.

Wrote this in the game thread but belongs here:

We’ve played 7 games since the deadline. We destroyed an awful team that is in the midst of complete dysfunction and drama. The other 6 we lost by an average of 19 ppg.

The East is just absolutely putrid, it’s true. So making the play-in can’t be completely ruled out. And I’d be shocked if Philly doesn’t tank. But Brooklyn is 7-3 in their last 10 and we are really terrible. Reading the tea leaves we should still miss the play in. And for what it’s worth as we get closer I expect to see more in-game and rotational tank moves coming from the FO. I don’t actually believe they want to make it this year regardless of what AK says.

The next 7 games will tell a lot. We will presumably be the dog in all 7. We then play Brooklyn. They have 8 games between now and then. After that there is exactly one month left in the season.

The crazy and awkward thing will be whatever happens in the plausible event that we remain quite bad but still make the play-in as a terrible 10th team in the east. Would be weird to watch a team try to throw a play-in game. I feel like only tank-commander Vuc could save us in that situation. "24 and 12" on 12 of 25 from the field while giving up 40 points at the basket lol.

Is it super crazy to think that Tre Johnson might be the best player in the draft? Looked like it to me in highlights lol.

Yes. Hes not a great athlete. not good defender. bad on rebounding and below average assists numbers.
