It’s all about the Core 3.
Ideally, we win both play in games with our core playing well and then get back Lonzo to give us a boost against the Cavs. 1-2 wins in a competitive series would be really good for the whole team.
If we lose against the Heat and our core plays meh that probably helps in the Giddey contract numbers.
Worst case if we get the Cavs and get blown out in 4 games with the core playing great.

Looks like the 10th seed has only beaten the 9th seed once in the play-in, and that 10th seed was OKC with SGA/Giddey/Williams. A lot better than your average 10th seed. And they probably would have lost if NOP was healthy (no Zion, lost by only 5 points).
We should be good as long as we don't get anyone hurt in a meaningless game vs Philly.
