I think this is actually pretty interesting conversation, and interesting to see where people fall on it.

I too think Trae young is better and more dangerous than either Banchero or Wagner.

I'm not sure when 24 points and 11.6 assists per game became something to turn ones nose up at. Yes Trae's effeciency (57% TS) could better, but it's better than Banchero's (55% TS%) and Wagners (56%).

Trae can carve up your defense by scoring, getting his teammates easy buckets, and fouling out your players.

Trae is a truly horrible defender and will always lose because of it.

He has a lot of tricks but there is he stinks on defense.

He is bad on defense
He is a crappy rebounder
He does not draw charges
He does not get stills.

Just posted this but ill put it here as well:

From GB:

Trae in serious games/series:

8-21 FG vs Magic, ejected, loss 2025
4-12 vs Bulls, eliminated, 2024 playin ( plus minus of - 27, worst on a team)
8-18 (1-8 for 3) , win vs Heat. 29 ppg on 52% TS vs Celtics in 2023
8-24 (1-7 for 3) vs Hornets in playin 2022 (round1) , 13-25 FG vs Cavs (round ), followed by soul crushing 15 ppg on 46% TS vs Heat in 5 games

Aside from 2021 run where he thrived on being irritating troll vs Knicks & 76ers beating themself, Trae pretty much always was nothing but crappy efficiency, sky high usage and fishing for fouls that often refs in playoffs don't call type of player.

And it's a given that every good team will hunt him on defense and expose his lack of length, lack of awareness as he is one of worst defenders nba has. Both clueless and incapable.

Overall he is opposite of floor raiser. Puts ceiling on your team, kills your defense and isn't good enough on offense to justify usage.

Can we stop talking about the hawks in this thread? Getting ahead of yourselves are we? Nothing is guaranteed. In before the heat catch fire from 3 and blow us out

Bulls match up well against the Heat. Beat them every time this year. Giddey has been the key. He's averaged 26, 10 and 10 against them. A triple double. The Heat only have Davion Mitchell as a viable defender against Giddey, Coby and Huerter unless Terry Rozier has a resurrection on Holy Wednesday. In order to win Spo has gotta find a way to keep Giddey and Coby out of the paint where they are creating for themselves and getting fouled or finding the open corner 3. Herro and Robinson aint doing that, so he better hope that the Bulls go cold from three.

Atlanta presents a deadly pick and roll game with Trae and Capela. Then you have elite wing defenders like Daniels and Johnson.. these guys could limit our offense by limiting Giddey. Then of course, Niang and Levert.. historically Bulls killers all their careers.

Have you been living under a rock?

Capela hasn't played since mid May and Johnson hasn't played since January.

I'm not worried about Trae Young and his lack of size and defense.

Haha I must admit that I have not been paying attention to other teams lately. My mistake my bros!

In the last game, Mitchell did a very good job when he was on Giddey though. If I were Miami, I would put him on Giddey and take my chances with Herro guarding Coby.

I'm kind of shocked at the cockiness in this thread. I hope I'm wrong but I'm smelling a let down L tonight. Hard to beat a team 4 times in a season.

Sportsurge dot net is a really cool website.

Hoping Giddey feels good enough to play and Coby shakes off the funk he's been in.

Wouldn't mind another 10/10 shooting performance from Matas either.

No, but if needed good to know, I'll try it. Especially if cheaper than an unwanted full month of youtubeTV. Especially cause round 1 will be on chsn again and I doubt we get to round 2.

ESPN+ is $11.99 per month. You can also get Disney+, Hulu & ESPN+ for $16.99.

I think for sure Spo isn't going to let Giddey go off for a 28 point triple dub on 69% TS again. Miami can take away any single option if they want to and force the Bulls to win with the other 4 guys on court.

My concern is this ends up being a Spo plan vs Billy plan. Last time he played the Bulls perfectly, attacked our rim protection and took Jimmy offball and used him like a PF, setting P&R screens and got the ball down low near the basket where we had no rim protection (well Vuc). Billy's plan was to just put AC on Jimmy and Jimmy just destroyed him under the basket.

Other Bulls need a big night tonight other than Josh.

They get to the 8th seed, and Giddey is more outstanding than he's ever been. Coby's on fire, Vuc is on fire. They make it 6 games. Win or lose, we're ecstatic. High wears off. Time to talk to Giddey. He's averaged 24 pts, 12 rbs, 11 assists thru the playoffs. H. e says, "Um, you know that $30 mill we were talking about. I'm thinking like........max?" Coby slides in behind him, "While you're talking, I'm not even asking that much" (Just averaged 28pt, 5 assists, 2 steals on 50% three point shooting) $30-$40 would be cool. :)" And we're out of the draft lottery.

Coby, Giddey and Matas will be the same great guys they are to start the season, whether or not they ball out right now. Money and lottery chances would be hugely impacted if they ball out right now.

And honestly, for young guys, I think making the play-in IS making the playoffs. They weren't supposed to be here.

Coby can’t get paid this offseason.

We could definitely lose, but I don’t expect a let down. This team is gonna play hard.

A let down in the context I stated it as means most people expecting the W, not that the team won't play hard. Obviously they are going to play hard.

I remember the heat blowing out the bulls last year and Jimmy Butler did not play . The regular season means nothing
