looked pretty effortless imo. He needs more usage. Giddey and him don't have a lot of chemistry seemingly, hope it improves, one of my few complaints from tonight.

When the popup came up and said he had 17, I couldn't believe it. Thought at most it was 11. He had that on 8 shots. That's prime Jimmy Butler level efficiency. Imagine when he starts to push the issue and be more assertive. Sky really is the limit.

21 points 12 shots. 3 TO to one assist but meh. He's a guy. On a team where nobody else really is other than Giddy. Both him and Josh will have to fight some adversity this season. Vuc is a solid pro and he showed it again tonight, but late in the game if he's your best player it won't be enough to matter.

I'll go ahead and make a sig bet that Mikal is better by RPM this year than Zach.

Biggest relief from this game is that we didn't wilt without Coby's shotmaking. A part of me was worried that we'd have a hard time in the halfcourt offense. I think we will eventually, but Giddey, Tre, Ayo and Matas did pretty good offense by committee.

Matas growth in 80 games give me hope. I want him to keep growing. This is the beginning.

Posting after a long time. Still haven't forgiven bulls ownership after they traded jimmy out, but even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while to survive.
Well bulls management found it in Matas. What a baller, rolls his ankle and than instead of playing gingerly, goes in for alleyoop dunks and tomahawk posters over defenders.
Unlike Lauri, Matas is an obvious two way player, makes something to go ooohhh and aaah on both offense and defense every game.
U definitely can win a championship with a player like this, unlike derrick, Matas is also 6'10, so more potential to just not be denied, when he goes all out in playoffs in the future.
Super happy with Pg rotation after years and years of utter failure and garbage( sans few month of Lonzo). This also with some more 3pt development can be enough for deep playoff runs.
Giddey is a baller with a "eff you" attitude, ref screwed him with the Holland hip check, right next he goes in for and one .love it.
so bulls suddenly have 2/5 core there. Just need better SG and C than we have now...

Team leading +17 though.

Plus minus is an odd stat. Okoro had +17 while Matas had -10.

Yes i wanted to see Noa, yes he would probably look like a newborn Giraffe running around with plenty of mistakes...
but let's be honest, how many more minutes of Terry, Phillips, Jalen Smith anyone wants to see? Im all for development of young players but these guys had now 2+ off seasons and whole season living and playing in bulls system and I'm not seeing any major improvement. At least Patrick Williams( horrible #4 pick) can shoot and defend once in a while, so with okoro bulls already have enough of these mid back up players.
Bulls need to see fruits of development, like Matas also started shaky but we can see this magical "development", same with Giddey. So lets see if Noa can be making these leaps and bounds is all I'm saying. Or else it's just like simonovic, just clapping waving towels and dominating g-league...

No reason. None at all for Dalen to get any mins.
Thought Billy was hijacking the game for the tank.

I loved the game. Was fun to watch us out there again. We looked pretty good but had to make it scary late.

Impressions:

Vuc: looked pretty damn good tonight lol
Smith: my guy looked pretty bad lol
Matas: looked pretty good. I don't think he hurt his ankle at all I think he was faking to sell the foul like a **** boss
Patrick: looked genuinely awesome. Made three stunning defensive plays and was very aggressive rebounding and defending. Offensively too but limited opportunities.
Terry: didn't notice him
Giddey: honestly didn't look very good tonight but had a couple stunning plays
Huerter: looked quite good
Okoro: didn't really watch him much
Ayo: tried to do too much IMO. He had his moments but I really don't think this guy is the scorer that he and for some reason the team might be trying to turn him into
Jones: looked pretty good. Tried to do too much a couple times but not to the extent Ayo did.

Thank God we had Huerter, he was our only real floor spacer. His defense is surprisingly solid. Really need Coby and Collins back. Pat was better than jalen.

Huerter is winning me over. You can be a negative on defense in today's game as long as you are a ++ on offense and he does that more often than not off the bench.

It's almost like the only reason he got any PT is to save Essengue's place in the near future.

Last year we would have lost that game because we were soft.

This team plays like that most nights with our depth and we are a competitive playoff team.

Great gritty win. It’s been awhile since we’ve seen that.

Yeah Kevin definitely looked like one of our better players tonight on both ends.
