He hasn't been given the opportunity because he hasn't played well enough when he did get the opportunity. If he was playing well he would stay in games longer. You can't play someone when there 1-7 from the field in limited minutes and really have no clear way to score points on a consistent basis.
When you look at Tyrus starts you see no consistency in his offense. Thats because he has no clue how he going to score when he is going into games. He 35% on jump shots for the year. He is 34% on what is considered close shots. If its not a dunk its not efficient for him.
You could live with Tyrus and hope he develops if you had Yao Ming next to him. When Noah is next to you your putting a ton of pressure on your perimeter players. Not only do they need to have big games to win but do it while teams put most of the focus on them.
