Explain the positives outside high draft pick in a new lotto situation next year ? Bulls healthy last year prob could win just as many games as the lakers did this past season , some of y’all are in for a rude awakening.
What are the positives of winning? Let the young guys play as many minutes as possible and tank. Get another draft pick and develop the young guys. That's what this season is about. Keep grooming and acquiring assets.

If they sneak into the playoffs to kept swept I'm going to be pissed.

Couldn't agree more...any other year this team as constructed is a bottom 5 team...this year we're maybe top 10 in the East. I say play young guys as much as possible if they are good enough for a top 6 seed great...if not start tanking to get a decent pick...this team would be swept by Bos, Phi, Was or Tor

I basically just said all of this in my post yet I got a response of F that lets tank. Lol pax isn’t going to do the same stuff he did last year as in benching vets he’s going to want to play the guys regardless of whose on it . I don’t expect Asik to play but Holiday and Lopez will play something like teen mins until they’re possibly shipped off in a nice deal. If the bulls play bad next year then ok Pick here we come but if they sneak in at 8 then so be it that means growth by some players and others on the outside with see a team on the rise and possibly want to join that’s all I’m saying.

My only concern is I don't want to push for playoffs if we are playing Lopez/Holiday.....now if we're making the playoffs with a line up of:

Dunn/Payne
Lavine/Blakeney
Valentine/Hutchinson
Lauri/Portis
Carter

If that lineup makes playoffs it shows a lot of talent and growth and i'll accept it...but if we're rlying on Holiday and Lopez to get there it hinders the growth of the youth

Like I said I don’t see Pax taking the Deng Lakers approach, he respects Lopez and Holiday too much. They’ll play but they won’t be heavy like last year early in the season.

Lavine, Hutchinson,Lopez,Portis,Valentine or holiday and a pick. Isn’t that a better offer for the spurs?

So the latest I read was the Bulls have up to 27 million.

Can the bulls try and sign both Lavine and Parker? 12-13 million for each?

Even with those two on the books, The Bulls would have Rolo, Asik, Holiday coming off in 2019, which is around 30 million.

I think because of Lavine's cap hold you can offer Jabari whatever and still re-sign Lavine at whatever price, as long as you leave Lavine's deal to be the last one to be officially signed.

So in theory you could sign both to 17+mil.

No. And the Bulls would never offer that without a guaranteed extension.

Probably going to end up with Melo to the NYK type of trade in the end.

Is there any Report about the Bulls interested in Jabari? He would fill a hole and can Play the 3. Go big instead of small ball.

Trade Felicio for Melo and we get that horrific contract of our books for one year of Melo contract. Or maybe OKC adds Ferguson.

I played around a bit with shams capulator:

No problem with signing two big fish next year and no problem with the minimum salary this year.

Go play around with that tool, it's awesome!

Yes. And they definitely could without a contract extension.

Teams that can not afford to do this get some of the taxes. It's suppose to give an edge to the big markets while helping the small markets to e profitable.

Sounds like a great way to stay on the treadmill! I'd rather save our $$ and be ready to pounce on the Jimmy-Kyrie combo next year. Even if we strike out gotta take the swing. No need to invest 30+ million on 2 players with questionable impact and a combined 3 torn ACLs
