What? How are they pulling off all these moves? And they are not done? This feels like last year Atlanta offseason. Not so in love with any of the single pieces but we definitely got a significant talent upgrade and we are back on the map.

Btw this is exactly what the Bulls should’ve done in the crazy off-season of 2016. Instead of prepping to surround a bargain Jimmy with tons of talent and going over the cap, they began planning how to dump him for rebuild (and of course 1998). When you move fool’s gold assets in S&Ts and operate over the cap, many buy-low options come up. When you dump talent to create cap, for a moonshot FA, you end up really thin.

The Miami 2010 and Brooklyn 2019 scenarios were so unique… they should never be mentioned as viable FA build plans.

To perhaps state the obvious, it didn't matter what they did with Jimmy until they had a new FO (and legit coach). But yea, had that overhaul happened then, I'm sure an AK type GM would have tried to make a Jimmy-led team work.

I don’t want to be a downer, only that if AK was confident in Pat stepping up his game aggression I bet the Bulls don’t make this deal.

I'm not sure about that, Pat is still very young, and he is still likely to be getting around 20 minutes per game which is about right where he should be considering where his game is right now.

I think for the Bulls front office, it was about getting talent and assets on this roster, all moveable I might add. This aren't contract which are going to be impossible to move by any means, so any signs that Pat shows that he is making that leap, you sure as hell know that moves will be made to make way.

Plus, power forward or small forward, it really doesn't matter in this modern NBA anyway. He is a forward, but he still has some ways to go, and to learn a thing or two from DeRozan is a gift to him.

Williams is still going to play a lot. As of this moment - and I realize that could change - he's the starting power forward and backup small forward. He's going to play 24+ minutes a game while developing at two positions. And he's going to be playing with distributors like Vuc, Ball and DD.

This offseason has been great for Pat's situation in Chicago. Coby White on the other hand? He's having a rough couple of days.

I suppose at a certain point if his market isn't there the cost might make sense, but if it drops too low Lauri might just opt for the QO, which isn't great either. Let's hope they can just S&T for a pick.

21 ppg, 4.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists in 10 playoff series... Going to go out on a limb and say that is not one of the worst playoff performers of all time.

He's also going to be the third option now. Very different.

What a productive off season it has been so far and we’re still not done. I still believe Lauri will get moved, and with AKME, anything is possible. Next thing you know Kawhi is a Bull…Just Kidding…Maybe.

And the sample size is quite large.

Don't care. He's a complimentary player now, not someone expected to carry an offense.

So he's going to be playing more off-ball? Where he can't shoot a lick?

This only works if Derozan is our main half-court hub.

How does a guy that shoots over 83% at the line for his career also shoot under 30% on threes? I'm not a big fan of becoming a 4 seed but that's probably worth it considering the type of talent it takes to win a ring isn't heading to Chicago anytime soon.
