Only way we can get both Melo and Gasol is if NYK agree to sign and trade Melo and Gasol agrees to take the MLE correct?

Frank Isola @FisolaNYDN · Apr 7
Steve Kerr's final college broadcast before he becomes Knicks coach, not including playoffs on TNT of course.

well at very least, he's not perfect.

Yeah?? Nahh, sell me on the money first, then break down your presentation

8-)

Present the plan to both Melo and Gasol.

Amnesty Boozer
Package Snell, MDJ, unguaranteed contracts, Mirotic, 2015 Bulls 1st for Melo at 19.7 M
Since we'd be over the cap we can then use the MLE for Gasol

Rose
Butler
Melo
Gasol/Taj
Noah/Gasol

This is it right here.....Come Pau! Join us in the East!!! Bring Melo with you! That tweet said Bulls have informed boozer that he will either be amnestied or traded, Bulls have yet to make a decision........Do Bulls have a taker for Boozer?

Why do Bulls feel good about their chances with Carmelo? Right now, he ranks 8th on list of most points scored without playing in Finals.

What a tweet.

Here's why

A 4 year deal starting at 17M gives him about 70-75 mil over the 5 years

A 5 year deal gets him 90+ over 5 years

I think Phil's max offer will be between 100-110M

So I'm essence it would look like leaving 10-20M on the table instead 30-40M

I thought Phil was offering 5/130 after yesterday. Personally, if I were Melo, I'd take the money, give Phil a year and demand a trade if his big plan doesn't come together.

But I can also see Melo forcing a sign and trade here. You guys can't lose him for nothing. Even if you just get a couple of 1sts that helps you out more than you think.

I think you guys need another ball handler, a 3/4 hybrid Odom/Diaw type to play with both Rose/Melo

That's so fap worthy

One day the mood swings here will be used as some kind of sociological study of mob mentality. Seriously, I logically know that NO bad news came, just more speculation... but y'all mofos got me panicked and down as well. Maybe it the emotional rollercoaster of free agency taking its toll on us, maybe we are just trying to cling to any tidbits and speculation and over analyzing every tweet by every sports writer. Its also probably the hangover after yesterday. When the 'big fish' is at your team, all of the news will be focused around that team. But when the 'big fish' is with the opposition, all of the attention in the media shifts to them - and they play it up for the story. The emocoaster is kind of like in the exorcist when the  is playing head games with the preist, it was inevitable- you just need to power through it. But seriously though guys... I am freakin too. :banghead:

Another reason to hate Chicago beat writers. Why wouldn't an offensively starved team covet the league second leading scorer?

I don't believe we offer the max mainly because we can offer less and still beat other offers

Im not one to bash other teams chances because to me its just too much of a crap shoot, having said that (best Larry David Voice), I dont see the fit in Houston at all. What's Melo going to do there? Watch James Harden shoot free throws all game? To me, James Harden is one of the most unwatchable players in the NBA because he either bombs threes or flails his arms trying to get a free throw call. That guy is walking billboard for black holes and deep space. Its a miracle that anyone else touches the ball down there. End Rant.

I don't think its a dollar for dollar thing. If Phil offers less than 5/130 than I highly doubt Melo will be back. Its a respect thing and 5/110 on a losing team is a slap in the face.

Nothing appears imminent on that front as Clippers continue to try to get involved on Melo and LeBron. But Doc has been speaking to Pierce
