Or Aldridge @ 2, and Gay at 7
On the day of the draft I was stewing in my own juices (not a pretty image) trying to figure out how we could trade up for Boston's pick. But we really couldn't have offered what Portland did. They took on Lafrentz's bad contract for Ratliff's soon-to-expire contract, which (I don't think) we could have matched, and they also gave up Telfair, who at the time was regarded by some people as a player with a lot of potential. I don't see us having been willing to take on Lafrentz's dollars.

For people saying Gordon doesn't have the instinctive playmaking ability of Roy, blah blah blah.
Come on. Its not his fault that people miss every shot off of his passes. Nocioni and Hinrich, two of hte main guys he sets up, have shot horribly this year (Duhon too). Ben Wallace, he sets up great all the time, and you guys all know how bad Ben Wallace is with balls just randomly slipping out, missed wide open layups. Tyrus doesn't even finish that well anymore. Its not his fault he doesn't work with the most competent offensive players. I think Roy is better, but the discepeancy is only so large because of our crappy team.

You know, I was just about to blame tonight's loss (had Portland won it in regulation) on the absence of jack finn's good vibes. You're bloody lucky you showed up when you did.
