And you don't have a large loyal fanbase. Otherwise, it wouldn't be difficult to fill out your stadium.

Your sales reps are incredibly aggressive, by the way. I bought a few tickets on the first level not far from the Bulls bench (I was sitting like a row from Steve Schanwald that night, actually) and a guy from the Heat ticketing office was calling me every few days for like a month to try to get me to buy a package of season tickets after I continually told him I wasn't interested. So I'll give your FO credit for trying to fill the stadium. But in no way is Wade this huge icon that Heat fans make him out to be.

You guys are completely missing the point on what I'm saying here. Wade is an icon to Heat fans. He is not a huge icon to the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area as a whole because the average person here doesn't give a hoot about sports. And the ones that do are more invested in football than anything else. I don't know how you can dispute that. If you've grown up in this area you should know that.

Tons of people who live in West Palm commute to Miami daily, and vice versa. We are right around the corner, we get all Miami's radio stations and the like. West Palm is known for being close to Miami.

As to your point, then why the hell would they change the county name? Also, of course they had trouble selling seats when the team wasn't all that good, and because of all the transplants, as you yourself have said.

Wade has billboards, a county name, and every other thing any other celebrity has even hoped to get. He's huge down here, whether you want to admit it or not.

BG with 43 and counting...lol. Too bad we know the ending.

I forgot how much of a threat BG can be when he wants to.

They were showing a game against NO earlier, I'd assume a buzzer beater was involved.

Well just let Wade and Bosh go down to Miami to play in front it's 10k that shows at playoff time.

LOLOL, did you even watch the Playoffs during Miami's peak years ('05 and '06)?? The White Out during the Finals? They have a supportive fanbase, especially when they are winning.

BTW, Wade: "This is my house!", first time I'd seen him jump on the scorer's table...

Sorry if this angle has already been posted. Did anybody think maybe the picture of the two on Twitter captioned "only missing one" or something stupid like that could have meant "LeBron, you're the one thing holding up this supposed summit we want to be having right now." Then a day or two later we get something to the effect of them "wanting to play against LeBron" followed by Wade taking another meeting. In a drama-filled, video taped free agency this could be Wade firing shots at LeBron.

... But then again, I think his interest is genuine and he wants to be close to his boys.

Yes. It was his first playoff game as a rookie. Had a buzzer beater against the Hornets. They are just playing some great Wade games from his career.

Remember that one poster who said he knew of a FA that wanted to sign in Chicago if the Bulls were interested (I think his name was Tyrus or Tyson and then some number)?

He posted that it was Wade since he thought that it was moot at that point and that the Bulls had moved on to LeBron and that Wade had therefore moved on with Miami.

Supposedly Wade is his neighbor or something like that.

TyrusRose *something* - and yes, he said they were neighbors.

how come that dude just totally disappeared? I enjoyed reading his info.

You don't really believe he's neighbors with Wade, do you?

Can't the Bulls give Wade an opt out after 3 years so that we can *wink, wink* give him a bird max then?

Then again, he probably wants more than a *wink, wink*, with his injury history.

Toronto Raptors free-agent forward Chris Bosh went to his hometown of Dallas to rest and contemplate his free-agency options on Saturday after meetings with prospective teams, according to a source.

The Raptors are still open-minded about the possibility of a sign-and-trade with their All-Star and have done extensive research on possible scenarios with each potential trade partner. The Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs, Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers are among the teams in the luxury tax who have interest in a possible sign-and-trade for Bosh.

On Bosh’s and Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade’s free-agency situations, their agent, Henry Thomas, said via text: “The guys are simply processing all of the info they have received over the past couple of days. Taking some time to take it all in.”

And it is a decision that bounces beyond the basketball court for Wade and into his personal family boundaries. Wade confirmed in an interview with The Miami Herald on Saturday that an ongoing custody battle for his two young sons would be a key factor in his decision.

``I'm taking everything into account here,'' Wade said a day after he met with the Bulls for the second time in 36 hours. ``It's as simple as this: At the end of the day, I'll make the best decision for my family.''

That family includes Zaire, 8, and Zion, 3, whom Wade was awarded temporary custody of exactly a month ago amid a divorce from Siohvaughn Funches that was finalized on June 25.

Wade has spent much of the past two months in Chicago, where his children have lived and attended school since their parents separated shortly after Zion's birth in 2007.

But Wade's pursuit of fulltime custody -- and his intentions to maintain as much of their structure as possible -- has thrown a behind-the-scenes curveball into the summer free agency frenzy.

Wade, 28, has repeatedly said his preference is to re-sign with Miami, where he has spent each of his seven seasons, led the Heat to its lone title in 2006 and become the franchise's career leader in points, assists and steals.

Henry Thomas, Wade's Chicago-based agent, said Wade is taking the process ``very seriously and is trying to analyze every aspect that's important'' to him right now.

``He's valuing the fact that he has the opportunity to choose where he wants to play,'' Thomas said. ``Other situations, are they more appealing to him than Miami? Obviously, he's more familiar with Miami's situation than any other. But I do think he's looking at this as his opportunity -- and he may not have another one -- to decide where he really wants to be.''

The Heat, with more salary-cap space than any other team, has offered Wade a contract that would pay him a maximum of about $125 million over six seasons.

But returning to the Heat would also require Wade to make some major adjustments off the court in Miami should he get full-time custody.

With the travel demands of his NBA schedule, it is likely Wade would either hire nannies for his sons or convince his older sister, Tragil, to move from Chicago to Miami. Tragil Wade has been a liaison of sorts during custody exchanges between Wade and his ex-wife, and is often with the boys at Heat road and home games.

Wade's mother, Jolinda, also lives in Chicago, where he bought a church for her ministry two years ago. Those are all factors that have Wade ``seriously'' considering his options beyond any contract.

Maximizing time with his sons was among the reasons Wade decided against competing with the U.S. national team at the world championships this summer.

Wade is scheduled to travel to Miami for a set of summer camp and promotional appearances Tuesday. It will be Wade's first time in town as a professional without officially being under contract with the Heat.

It also will be the first time Wade is in the temporarily named Miami-Wade County long enough to experience the full hoopla of the Heat's elaborate recruiting efforts to keep him.

``Miami and Chicago have done a great job of putting themselves in position that everyone has talked about,'' Wade said. ``I don't know what attraction it brings to everyone. I don't know what it changes for everyone. What you know right now is situations can change quickly.''

Free agents can sign contracts starting Thursday, with the Heat scheduled to hold its official meeting with Wade early this week.
