When, in the history, the Bulls sign a big FA on the market?

If you're implying that the FO didn't do a bang-up on their pitch to Melo, I think you're off base. If he doesn't sign with the Bulls, it will not be the FO's fault.

If you think Melo recruiting Pau to NY can somehow end in Melo coming to Chicago your deluded.

Game over man. Game over.

Great players in their primes don't switch teams in FA that often.

Let that Fugazi sign for $130 million and he can take Gasol's old ass along with him.

Let's roll with Noah, Love and Rose.

Be funny if reports were off and he instead was trying to recruit Pau to Chicago.

I really dont see pau in ny, if they were a legit team maybe he takes that paycut, but they will be garbage next season with zero rim protection.

I don't see what we want with Pau unless Noah or Taj is gone. If no Melo why would either be gone. This makes no sense and has to be about other moves.

Think you forgot to mention Butler? Your numbers seem to include him.

It's quite amazing that no big time free agent has ever wanted to come here. My god, beautiful city, chance to win, thibs, smoking with noah, derricks crib. What's else do you need.

Yes they can. Amnestying Boozer puts them about $10-11 million under the cap. Chicago can give Melo that number plus the amount of contracts they're sending out.

The $16 million number makes sense if Chicago is trying to acquire another player through sign-and-trade like Gasol.

Also, don't assume Smith isn't trade bait.

it's really mind boggling

You really want to stick with Ny for the rest of your career and get your ass handed to you every year by us and the Heat?

Jesus, have fun then

How does opting out and going across the country meeting with rival teams improve your ability to recruit though? Other free agents don't even know if Melo's gonna stay in New York and probably wonder why he's so hesitant to just re-sign with them or just opt back in. Come on, these conspiracy theories don't make any sense. Maybe Melo really doesn't know what he wants yet but wants to have multiple strong options. :o
