Again, same question.

Go and read K.C. Johnson’s latest piece about Butler and his behavior and let me know why Gar Forman is to blame for anything of this.

Butler is acting like an entitled punk.

Geesh, you trust KC of all people? He's just a mouth piece for the FO.

Come on, KC is the FO's mouthpiece. Of course he's going to write something very anti-Jimmy. I'm not saying that the things he wrote aren't true, just that it's only one side of the story told from the FO perspective.

It's unlikely general manager Gar Forman or executive vice president of basketball operations John Paxson would cut bait on a roster they called championship-caliber.

Was waiting for KC to dump some of that cold water down our throats.. Had to wait all the way till the end for it. Bastard.

Wait, wait. Since when is the FO anti-Jimmy? They just gave the man a five-year, max contract.

That was lightning quick.

Anyways, looks like the favorite theory of pinning everything on Rose isn't applicable here.

What was that about keeping your private drama out of the press? I doubt the same people crushing Jimmy will be similarly scolding the FO. Prove me wrong people.

K.C.'s article is matching my theory earlier about Butler's new found personality potentially being the catalyst of a rumored locker room division.

Also, for those still theorizing a Butler/Rose war:

Butler didn't specify which players weren't following the game plan. One person close to Butler said the comments weren't directed at Rose.

Some more great tweets that are 100% true. Rose has been the perfect scapegoat for fans and the front office when it comes to problems with this team. He has always been a great team player

Only thing of value KC said was they had a good meeting. Other than that, agenda piece IMO.

except for when, you know, he teased coming back from injury for months on end, including during the playoffs. and for the last season plus when he's coasted through the regular season

Butler's has been acting hollywood for quite some time now. I was one of the few people to point it out many months ago when everyone was trying to pin all the blame from the so-called Rose vs. Butler feud on Rose (shocker!). So of course he's to blame for some of his selfish acts.

But here's the most important thing: when a team struggles (no matter the sport), the negativity builds up. It just happens. Almost without exception. That's just the nature of sports. And the Bulls are not struggling because of Butler's selfishness. They are struggling because this team stupidly constructed this roster and has littered it with a bunch of one-way players who are not even good at their one-way. That's the heart of the problem.

In fact, KC unknowingly sums it up best:

But it's clear the Bulls have struggled to fully establish their new identity under Hoiberg as players including Tony Snell, Nikola Mirotic and McDermott have assumed larger roles.

Yes, those players have assumed larger roles, and they stink. And when you have bad players assuming larger roles, the team will struggle.

It really is quite amazing how fast he can dig up information when someone opposite the FO needs to be gassed down.

But when there is trouble internally in their realm, suddenly he becomes a know nothing, quiet as a mouse.

Next up, Sam Smith takes sideswipes at Butler in his "Ask Sam" column.

Anyway, this team's house looks to be a mess, and I think all Jimmy did was probably lift up the rug a little and let some light in.

I don't know. The FO just unloaded on Jimmy with both barrels of Rhino killer.

Maybe a slip up by KC.

Some on this forum have argued the FO didn't feel this was a championship caliber roster, and this year is all about just a lazy stroll transition and evaluation season for Fred and the gang. Whoops.

Not like its hard to piece together they've felt that way since the start of last year.

Pretty much. KC will probably go dark for awhile until they need him again.

This just got ugly. Where is it written the Bulls and their best players have to fight like cats and dogs?

While those defending Butler say such instances stem from his frustration that few players match his work ethic, his habit of warming up on his own has alienated others to the point that Joakim Noah recently talked to Butler, a source said.

Now that Jimmy is the 'trouble maker' look how fast they hug Rose as loyalist.

But as soon as Derrick steps out of line, he'll be the one getting lit up again.

Was interesting to hear the other day on ESPN Truehoop podcast, one of the analysts said they felt part of the problem in Chicago was the media.

So would the Bulls consider trading Butler? eg.. would they trade him for a top 3 pick in this years draft?
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.

I wonder if you actually believe that. When did he tease a return? The commercials? Because other than those, he never said he was coming back for sure and they actually said there was a chance he wouldnt return at all that year.

And He kept getting hurt last year. Not sure he really coasted. And then in the playoffs, he was doing work.
