If Lonzo and Hali are equivalent, then why Wouldn’t you just sign Lonzo as a free agent, or trade for him, and draft another young player with promise?

Also, if Lonzo and Hali are equivalent, but the Bulls drafted Patrick Williams over Haliburton and aren't offering him in a trade for Lonzo then that means they prefer Patrick Williams to both players. Your brains hurt yet?

Lonzo will be resigning with whoever trades for him. You won’t get him in FA. He will be traded too IMO.

I could see...

Bulls: Lonzo

Wolves: WCJ

NOLA: Culver

I’d take Culver over Reddish.

I just don’t think Minny wants WCJ.

Expound on that. That can be for a few reasons what are you referring to exactly.

There seems to be no logical reason that NO would want Sato and a 2nd over other offers. That being said maybe they want a solid citizen that is cheap and feel they have enough youth on the squad and he is a fit? Or this is just all BS like most of these stories are?

I don’t think they ever were trading for Melo.

I'd offer Coby and a pick swap. That seems about as fair of an offer as you can get.

You get Lonzo and bring in Gelo to cause papa ball to raise hell to get Melo here.

The fanbase would looooove that.

Given LaMelo's injury, I actually do wonder if CHA goes for Lonzo with a Monk offer.

I feel like Sato and 2nd isn't an appealing offer... But truth is, he'd help NOP next year more than adding Reddish to a roster full of teenagers. Unless NOP is doing the "collect assets" thing for a super trade. Not sure who their target would be. KAT?

If AK wants Lonzo so bad, why would he have drafted Haliburton?

Haliburton and Ball are not the same person, and since he wants LONZO so bad, it seems to me like he would try to trade for Lonzo or sign him as a RFA/in a sign-and-trade?

That seems to be what he is doing - he has tried to trade for Ball to the point of making an offer, and he really didn't seem to be interested in trading for another lotto pick last summer to take Haliburton.

We can't say for sure, but he seems to be thinking that if he can't get Ball, he can get someone as good as or better than Haliburton. :dontknow:

I honestly like the Bulls initial offer of Sato and two 2nd rounders.

It’s a good foundation to add Lauri Coby or Wendell to sweeten the deal. I’ll only start to wonder about AK if he doesn’t try to add more to the deal.

They're paying Rozier far too much to not start him. And with Hayward starting at 3 that would mean Lonzo comes off the bench. Very unlikely scenario.

If we aren't resigning Lauri, I'm open to a Lauri for Lonzo swap. I'd really like to see how the team performs with a competent PG - especially Zach. It gives you time to see how Zach would perform with Lonzo before actually signing him.

If we don't trade for Lonzo Ball, I would be super mad with AK. He is a perfect fit for us and that would also fill in the hole that we have at PG position - who is a good 3 and D guy with good playmaking skills.

I don't care if we have to give up any combination of 2nd round picks, Sato, Coby, Carter, Hutch, Felicio, Kornet, etc.

Get it done man. Than by the deadline, give other asset and maybe even pick swap to Indy and go after Myles Turner. We will fill 2 major holes and be really really good.

Also, why the hell Hawks of all teams interested in Lonzo Ball?? They already have 3 or so point guards and Trae Young is not going anywhere. Lonzo will NOT sign with them anyway as he is not playing SG or coming off the bench.

This is like Hawks from a few years ago, when they had like how many SF??? Josh Smith, Marvin Williams etc. Dumb just Dumb.

KOC implies that we aren't offering much because we're going to throw a big offer at him in Free Agency anyway, so we may end up with him even if he's not traded at the deadline.

But I agree w everyone else, I would add Coby or Wendell just to be in the driver's seat. They may one day be acceptable players in 4 years, but nothing we'd sweat losing.

Why? It's clear no one is giving up real value for Lonzo. I think it ends up being Sato and Coby or Lauri. I think Lonzo would be good here. Just not excited about giving him a giant salary.

That is an overpay then. Ball is projected to be better than Sato in the future. As today Sato and 2 round pick is fair value. Unfortunately like in free agency when there are more suitors you need to overpay. For me LM is more valuable than Ball, White given age is same value as Ball in trade, actually Sato,Carter and 2 rp for Ball and Hayes is fair deal for both sides. Bulls can add Denzel.
