That would be stupid.

Everyone seems to be trashing Young and putting Bagley over him, but I'm wondering…exactly what is Bagley actually really good at? What are the skills he's going to be a big plus in at the NBA level?

Good to hear the Bulls don't want Trae.

If Bulls get a wing with our own pick Gafford seems as obvious and best BPA big on the board. And I like a kid a lot. Not sure he declares, but I guess being touted as lottery prospect he likely will.

If Gafford gets touted as a lottery prospect, we may be out of luck on him. I know a lot can change, but we will be very lucky if the Pels get into the lottery. I'm thinking we may be picking at 17 or 18.

Of course they don’t. They are one of the best drafting teams in the League. Cowley nailed it: Young’s value to the Bulls is a stupid team ahead of them drafting him, pushing down a better prospect to us.

I sure hope someone takes him ahead of us. Surely there's a team high on him.

I don't see Orlando or Phoenix passing on Young and they're both likely to finish ahead of us barring something crazy. Both are clearly in need of a long-term option there, unless Phoenix plans on matching any offer for Payton.

I think Vivek and his obsession with Curry makes the Kings likely to take Young. Plus there isn't much point guard or guard depth at the top, so a guy like Young will get pushed up too. I don't think he lasts until 7 or 8.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?

He only cares if you're also "big like Klay."

Re: 2018 Draft Thread #6
Young also has value if a team right behind us wants him.
Of course it depends on where our pick winds up, who is drafted ahead of our spot, and who is right behind us that might be interested in trading up for Young.
That scenario is a lot less likely than a team ahead of us taking Young and leaving someone else on the board, but it is possible.

I actually think both are overrated and am hoping both are gone when our pick is up.

Scoring and rebounding.

I like Bagley's potential a lot but there's a lot he needs to work on. Outside of the motor which will make him productive from day dot, he's pretty raw.

Re: 2018 Draft Thread #6
I would take the chance with Bagley though, because he's got so much going for him. Aside from being 6'11, he moves really well for his size, he's got a decent handle, and he's got a soft touch on his shots. His outside shooting will determine how good he can be, but his shot looks pretty good mechanically, and if he does develop a 3 pt ball, he'll be a very good player. His upside is very high, and I think that's what you look for.`He's got the kind of motor that players who can take games over have.
