Ouch...

As much as I'd like to see what would happen, I don't thing the FO would take Russ if he was given to them. They are about development and team culture this season, playoffs are something they don't expect but don't want to get in the way of (for a change).

Gotcha… I just see this team being young and still be easily a top 4 team in the east...

Westbrook, Sato, Arcidiacono
LaVine, Sato, Blakeney
Porter, Valentine, Hutchison
Markkanen, Young
Carter, Felicio

It would be, but Bulls FO doesn't want to Russ messing with the gently molded young minds of the Bulls.

Bertans is nothing worth sweating about.

Plus the Spurs also get Marcus Morris. The Spurs are asneaky team next year to watch with the best coach during modern basketball. A starting lineup, some good youth talent, and some versatility along with Murray coming back.

Murray/Mills/walker jr.
White Jr/Forbes/Bellinelli
Derozen/Carroll/Johnson
Morris/Gay/Samanza
Alridge/Poetl/Metu

That is a stacked team with versatility and would imagine Samanza and Johnson Jr. Play GLeague a lot. However, with adding Murray back along with Morris addition, the d will be elite along with a more loaded bench now. Could be a sneaky team in the playoffs with more scoring options too. Pacers and Jazz are the other 2 sneaky teams if the ball bounces the right way may go far. I do think the Jazz could be that sneaky team that could be the second best team in the west next year. Conley is heck of an add, but Bogdonavich is a sneaky, very good player than can also score. I know that may make me crazy but with two much better offensive options added to their team to go along with not being liabilities defensively and a great defensive backbone in Gobert, watch out. The Lakers should be very good, but I do wonder about the age of that roster sans AD and Kuzma. I do think the age of Rockets and chemistry issues of Rockets will show this year too.

West
Clippers
Jazz
Nuggets
Lakers
Spurs
Warriors
Rockets
Trailblazers

I’m kind of shocked the Lakers didn’t make a serious offer for Morris, preferring Danny Green and KCP. Morris for the MLE is a steal. Just put up 14/6 (18/8 per36) on very high efficiency, including nearly 38% from 3, plays good D, tough, can play both 3 and 4. Spurs with a versatile roster.

Would also have been ideal for Portland, Toronto once Kawhi announced, the Bucks as a swing reserve, among many. Heck, would have preferred him to Thad Young, particularly for less money.

He's a good role player and I would have preferred to add him than Kornet if the goal was to add a big that predominantly jacks up 3's. He knocked down 43% from 3 last season, 7% more than Kornet.

I also prefer a guy coming from 2 years in the Spurs system opposed to the Knicks system, which may be meaningless bias but I just hate Knicks players

Bertan is a player who is a terrible defender and offer nothing on defense.

KC actually with some scoop https://t.co/Uz9oCoz8ux

Bulls looking to re-acquire Justin Holliday via sign and trade for Kris Dunn.

I'd love it because I want Dunn gone yesterday and don't trust Valentine to be in the rotation at all.

Bertans would have been a great pick-up. He can play.

Only because he was asked to do more than he should have with no real talent around him . Him in a reserve role is much better

No he's not, he's not a great defender, but he's not terrible and he at least makes the effort each time to contest. See my other posts regarding this, thanks

Also

“He’s obviously a good shooter and has no conscience whatsoever, which is good,” Popovich said. “At the other end, he’s rebounding, he’s guarding, and that makes me put him on the floor.”

“He is one of those guys who really buys into it, he has the energy and is always there to help a teammate. I’ve never seen Davis shy away from help side (defense). He might get dunked on once or twice, but the other eight times he makes a great play, where a lot of guys would have just stepped out of the way.”

Really like what Memphis is doing right now. Tyus Jones at $8M/per for 3 years is a sneaky good signing and a good bargain. I like that roster.

It's a good move but wouldn't be surprised if Timberwolves matched it. It's good value and they'd remain bellow luxury tax.

On a more general note, I hope they manage to keep their pick this season, and then be good the next one - I'd hate to see Boston get a high pick from them.

I think the wolves match this. He's young and has done well when given the minutes. He was the pg I wanted the bulls to target but sato is okay too.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

I agree Shaq is a much better defender, but Bradley is a better 2-way player. He was coming back from injury last season, and I expect improvements from Bradley. I'd be happy with either though next to Coby.
