Bertans is nothing worth sweating about.
Plus the Spurs also get Marcus Morris. The Spurs are asneaky team next year to watch with the best coach during modern basketball. A starting lineup, some good youth talent, and some versatility along with Murray coming back.
Murray/Mills/walker jr.
White Jr/Forbes/Bellinelli
Derozen/Carroll/Johnson
Morris/Gay/Samanza
Alridge/Poetl/Metu
That is a stacked team with versatility and would imagine Samanza and Johnson Jr. Play GLeague a lot. However, with adding Murray back along with Morris addition, the d will be elite along with a more loaded bench now. Could be a sneaky team in the playoffs with more scoring options too. Pacers and Jazz are the other 2 sneaky teams if the ball bounces the right way may go far. I do think the Jazz could be that sneaky team that could be the second best team in the west next year. Conley is heck of an add, but Bogdonavich is a sneaky, very good player than can also score. I know that may make me crazy but with two much better offensive options added to their team to go along with not being liabilities defensively and a great defensive backbone in Gobert, watch out. The Lakers should be very good, but I do wonder about the age of that roster sans AD and Kuzma. I do think the age of Rockets and chemistry issues of Rockets will show this year too.

I’m kind of shocked the Lakers didn’t make a serious offer for Morris, preferring Danny Green and KCP. Morris for the MLE is a steal. Just put up 14/6 (18/8 per36) on very high efficiency, including nearly 38% from 3, plays good D, tough, can play both 3 and 4. Spurs with a versatile roster.
Would also have been ideal for Portland, Toronto once Kawhi announced, the Bucks as a swing reserve, among many. Heck, would have preferred him to Thad Young, particularly for less money.
