Lonzo Ball Thread (UPDATE: Bulls Offer Sato + 2nd Round picks)

Really starting to wonder about AK.

I honestly like the Bulls initial offer of Sato and two 2nd rounders.

It’s a good foundation to add Lauri Coby or Wendell to sweeten the deal. I’ll only start to wonder about AK if he doesn’t try to add more to the deal.

That is an overpay then. Ball is projected to be better than Sato in the future. As today Sato and 2 round pick is fair value. Unfortunately like in free agency when there are more suitors you need to overpay. For me LM is more valuable than Ball, White given age is same value as Ball in trade, actually Sato,Carter and 2 rp for Ball and Hayes is fair deal for both sides. Bulls can add Denzel.

LM would be worth more if he wasn't made of paper and cared about defense. Lonzo >>> Lauri

I think AK is thinking about winning in stages. Billy didn’t come here to tank and slowly build. AK wants to win this season now that he knows he has a true #1 option in Lavine.

If we get Lonzo for something close to Sato and 2nds we get better now and Lonzo fits the mold of player that AK wants...

- Can shoot
- Good passer
- High IQ

I’d prefer a Sato and WCJ trade. We send out 17M for next season and probably pay Lonzo something close to that. NOLA can move WCJ to a 3rd team for a 1st or player.

I would love for that to happen, but it would take more than that offer you proposed, it would probably take a first round pick, in addition to a second rounder to sweeten the pot. The only adjustment I would make is I'd put in White in the deal over Sato.

I was thinking about that too, but they recently signed Adams to that extension. Do we think they're regretting it? If so, then I think it's a pretty great trade. Strengthens our two weakest spots like you said. The biggest issue would be that we still don't have a sidekick for Zach, and would have a fair amount of money tied up in Adams and Ball (if we resign him).

Lonzo has played in 72.2% of his team's games in his career. 89.3% over the last 2 seasons, playing in 101 out of 113 games.

Lauri has played in 70.7% of his team's games in his career. But only 66% over the last 2 seasons.

Lonzo has an MCL sprain and a high ankle sprain that resulted in most of the games he missed over his first two seasons, but he's been quite healthy since.

I did think we could get Zo for cheap but he has seriously boosted his value the last few months.

I was thinking about that too, but they recently signed Adams to that extension. Do we think they're regretting it? If so, then I think it's a pretty great trade. I think they made a big mistake trading for Adams and then resigning him. I’m not a believer in paying Cs but Adams is massive and he’s really good at running Billys offense. He’d help us on the glass big time. Lauri takes all the backup C mins.

No way we add Coby or a 1st. We are taking a player that doesn’t fit them at all off their hands and his contract w OPJs expiring.

This FA year kind of blows anyway, assuming Kwahi stays in LA. I'm OK with punting this year's free agency tbh.

Adams' extension includes a pay cut of $12 million the first season, and the extension is only for two seasons after the current season, so there's no reason he can't be traded.
