Onto the Raiders next week, they're undefeated but man, they're not quite like LAR or Cleveland and the Bears should travel well there.

I guess the Bears QBs have been so bad that 11 completions for less than 200 yards, 0 TD and 1 INT is an amazing game.

:dontknow:

He made nice throws. The interception wasn't a bad one in terms of decision making it was a tipped ball. He had no TDs because they scored on running plays but he led the drives that got them there.

It wasn't an amazing day, but there was a lot of promise in there. He averaged 12 yards an attempt which is pretty spectacular (though obviously limited number of attempts).
Yeah, it is hard not to notice and be excited when you go from not throwing the ball in the air more than 10 yards for an entire game to averaging 12 yards per attempt.

Quinn and Gipson are really coming on strong. Having a legit strength at OLB makes this defense really strong.

That's the third strong performance from the defense in a row now. Dasai is a plus coordinator thus far.

Ogletree and Smith were flying around too

Smith is our best player on defense. He's noticeably better this season.

Jaylon Johnson has been excellent (PFFs #1 CB) and we've had decent play from Vildor/Shelly. This defense was really on the downslope at the end of last year but has had an excellent resurgence led by young players and Robert Quinn.

Nagy is a dreadful playcaller but if he defers to Lazor and empowers Dasai to do his thing, he's not in a bad spot.

Maybe a few weeks off - let Williams and Herbert carry the load so Monty can come back near 100%. Cohen is eligible to come back in week 6 I believe? Having 4 legit RBs is nice but Montgomery is the only one that's special.

Will be interesting to see if Cohen can add anything when he returns. Montgomery has really impressed me this year, I think his loss will definitely be felt.

Come on. Go Vikings though.

I'm quite capable of admitting that the Vikes are poop this year. The Bears are actually a much more interesting team to watch. I don't hate the Bears. I do hate the Packers.

I'd be ecstatic if he could be a good punt returner and just be the 4th RB. Williams and Herbert are good so that's not a slight on him.

Cohen could get the screen game going and PR.

Our PR suck. Whoever that guy is he shouldn’t be returning punts anymore.

That was exciting.

- First time since Mitch threw for all those TDs against the pre Brady Bucs that we looked explosive on offense

- Monty is for real. Love how he plays Bears football. All heart and fight.

- Quinn and Mack look like they are going to give us a sack and turnover every game.

- Fields hit his targets and two of his passes could have been TDs if he was a bit more accurate. He will get there. Those throws would have been big missed or picks for Mitch

- Got to get the TEs involved

- Today could not have said more about Nagy as a play caller. He better be hands off or he will meddle and lose his job. I think he wants to be a playcalling OC more than a HC anyway though. I don’t think he’s the guy to develop Fields.

Marino's first two starts: 90 yards, then 155 yards. His rookie season he averaged 200 yards per game. And that was on a team that had Mark Clayton, Mark Duper, and Nat Moore and went 12-4.

Vikings aren't bad, they've just had a brutal schedule.

Playing the Cards close looks impressive considering what they just did to the Rams.

My NFC tier list:
1 - GB, TB, LAR, Arizona
2 - SF, Dallas, Carolina, Minny, Bears, Seattle, NOLA, Washington
3 - Detroit, NYG, Atlanta, Philly

And you know that passing for 200 yds a game was massively more impressive in 1984 than in 2021.

Yeah, they're not flat out bad. They're not the Lions. They are just mediocre and won't accomplish anything this season.

IMO, teams like Washington are terrible. They barely beat two of the other terrible teams and one was on a bad call. Once their schedule stiffens up, they will drop like a rock. The NFC West is tough to figure because they are beating each other up.

Rams are top tier, they just had a letdown game after that big win last week. I like Heinicke and think Washington's d-line is top tier as well. They'll get right.

You a Brownies fan? I think we would be best served playing similar to them. I fully trust David Montgomery being the being the engine to our offense and just letting Justin pick his spots like Baker does. Your o-line is better as are your RBs but I like Justin/Mooney/ARob over Baker/Jarvis/Odell but if Odell gets to 100%, that's a scary squad.

I don't know if it was "massively" more impressive. And even if it was, when you factor in the talent Marino had to work with (including the winningest coach of all time), it balances that out.

I have moved around a lot. My wife is a steelers fan. A lot of my local friends are Browns fans as was my dad. I was teased into being a Cowboys fan when I was about 8 years old and stuck with it. I get a lot of ribbing for it because most Cowboys fans are jackwads, so I don't discuss it much but I'm just as big of an NFL fan as I am NBA.

The Bills are looking crazy on the AFC side. They are really a cut above if they can keep this up.

This was the best version of Justin we've seen. Those deep shots were a thing of beauty and the most WOW moment got ruined by Kmet falling down (he got interfered with IMO) but that play where he was rolling out, had a rusher coming straight at him and shook that poor dude out of his shoes to buy time/wait for somebody to get open.

It's hard not to get excited about this kid. There's just so much talent there.
