Easiest bet out there. Congrats to my fellow brothers getting paid for such a lame but asssured bet. The NBA is dead. Lebron killed it.

Re: Official: Draft Day Game Thread
Bronny has absolutely no translatable skills to be on an NBA roster right now. NONE. That said, he is still extremely young and can eventually become a player, but he doesn't deserve a roster spot, and the Lakers wasting one on him is just laughable but obviously there is clear reasons as to why.
Why so serious?

As soon as I heard this pick was heading to Toronto, I knew they were picking Ulrich Chomche, such a Toronto pick.

World would be a better place without Rich Paul as an agent. Such a scumbag

Here is a leaked transcript of Rich Paul frantically calling all the second round teams to steer Bronny to the Lakers at 55:
Paul: Hey, this is Rich Paul, you better not be thinking about . . .
Every GM: Bronny is ranked 287th on our draft board.

to drive Stacey King crazy I think we should sign Mantas Rubstavicius as an undrafted free agent.

I can proudly today say this. Maybe we are poorly run organization with disaster of ownership, who are greedy about playoff revenue and dont care single bit for their fanbase, but at least we are not clown organization like Lakers.

How is he supposed to carve his own way when he had a Bulldozer do it for him? He was gifted being drafted.
Maybe he won't make the roster?

Re: Official: Draft Day Game Thread
I wonder how Lebron feels about Bronny trying to follow in his footsteps? He's got to know that everyone thinks the only reason his son is in the NBA is because of him. And he's got to listen to all these commentators say that Bronny has no NBA level skills. At some level, that has to sting a bit. Is Lebron just blind to the reality of his son's potential, and believes that somehow he'll turn into an NBA player if just given the chance? Lebron strikes me as someone who is somewhat oblivious to how clownish he looks sometimes (as in The Decision), and this is just adding another chapter in that book.

Between Stephen A's stupid ass takes and Lebrons hilarious Nepotistic influence on the dookie Lakers, this draft has to be the most laughable draft of my years.

It's his son. I bet he believes in him, even if he knows deep down that Bronny isn't NBA level at the moment.

Ha! There is a 100% guarantee that Bronny is added to the main roster. They will do this especially early in the season just to appease the circus.
Once that is over, JJ will probably stash him in the G League.

It kinda feels like the death of ESPN. As we move beyond the cable model ESPN is the obvious corpse. And the NBA coverage they have given us tonight just screams "we earned this". Theres nothing admirable or redeemable about it. Low end coverage and personalities for....reasons they've long chose.

Re: Official: Draft Day Game Thread
ESPN for the last year ad nauseum: "Blah blah blah, Bronny playing with LeBron, blah, blah, blah, Bronny, blah, blah, NBA draft, blah, LeBron, blah, blah, Lebron and Bronny, blah, blah, blah, Bronny."
Malika Andrews of ESPN today (breathlessly): "Never in the history of the NBA has there ever been a second round 55th pick as discussed and anticipated as this one. Never! There have been many great second round picks over the years like Jokic and Green, but that was discussed after. This has being discussed before!"

I wonder how long the 2 night draft lasts. Endless banal babbling by talking heads only cut periodically to beam into the deputy commissioner announcing picks in a closet.
I don't do the dishes, I throw them in the crib

The thing to me is I realize how special this is. For a father and son to be a part of the league at the same time.
But why bother even doing the dog and pony show? Bronny didnt need to go to the combine lol He already had the job
