Gasol, Mirotic
Noah

Melo uses LA as leverage for sign and trade to Chicago. It was also reported Melo tried to recruit Pau - maybe not for NY, but for Chicago.

Taj to LA
LA pick/player to NY
Booz, MDJ, 2015, Sac pick to NY
Gasol and Melo to Bulls

What a roller coaster.

Okay.

MG, I would love to see the Bulls getting another star player and compete for the title again, but Melo is not that player ... Everything he has done in his career so far, both on the court and off the court, suggests that he would not choose the Bulls ... He is a diva, and the only places where he would fit well are NY, LA or Miami ...

We probably still have a chance to acquire a star player, and that player's name is Kevin Love ... If our FO play their cards well, we might get him sooner than expected ...

Of course want Melo almost any way short of gutting the team, not Butler AND Gibson.
But the greatest satisfaction would come from seeing Boozer on the Knicks, when Phil caves
and does a S&T rather than lose him for nada.

Hey, a guy can dream, right?

It would be pretty funny to see the Knicks board hope in Phil crushed if they took on Boozer and didn't get a great haul in return. I'd almost feel bad for them, considering what they gave up for Melo.

I can just picture MSG booing Booz once they realize he plays defense with his voice.

Yeah, almost... But no. I'll be laughing my ass off when Boozer makes some Ole' defensive play as some Bull, hopefully Melo, dunks on his ass, while he's yelling "grab it" at Samuel Dalemebert

For those who don't know, Ralph new stuff started here (book of melo chapter 16 verse85)

http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1332476&start=1660

and I quote:

Verily Ralph says unto you: The Bulls have given Melo two options. One with Gibson and one without Gibson and Melo getting the max. Also the Gasol stuff is linked to this. I can't get into specifics but the Bulls could land Melo at 22mil, Gasol at 8mil and still have the MLE for Nikola.

What did Ralph say I been busy and missed a lot of news please bring me up to speed thanks in advance

Something about possibly trading Taj for Gasol (making $5M) to open up an extra $3M for Melo I think.

Oh ok thank you sir. That actually sounds pretty sweet plus melo wants to play with Gasol and I like Gasol mentoring mirotoc if he comes over that's a win win. Although I do love Taj but Melo + Gasoline + Mirotoc > Taj

I would be so impressed with the Bulls if they pull that out that's like seing a nerd from school at the mall holding a hot girls hand.

Do you think Carmelo Anthony is the best fit for the Bulls? Jermaine Colon, Chicago

K.C.: I don't think it's even a question. Anthony is exactly what the Bulls need, a flat-out scorer who can bail sagging offenses out at all times. Any talk of him struggling to play with Derrick Rose is ludicrous. Great players figure out ways to play together. And they could alternate between the 1 and 1A roles. I've maintained for a long time that Anthony's reputation as a ball-stopper has been overstated. When surrounded by talent, he's a very willing passer and team player. I've covered him at the Beijing and London Olympics. USA Basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski told me in an interview two weeks ago that Anthony is a team player whom he loves to coach. Granted, the Bulls aren't a Dream Team like this country fields in the Olympics. But Anthony accepts coaching well, is a liked teammate and any defensive deficiencies could be absorbed by Tom Thibodeau's team concepts. If Anthony somehow picks the Bulls over the Knicks---and I think those are the only two teams that have a legitimately great shot---the Bulls instantly are Eastern Conference champion contenders.

If no Melo, i hope GarPax will show interest on LeBron. IMO, Miami will agree to S & T.

We don't want KC to say we are the favorites or else we won't get Melo.

Reference 1 - He said that the Bulls wouldn't trade Deng for Bynum, it happened

Even if we don't get Melo, I hope Boozer somehow ends up in New York. Words can't describe how epic a Boozer/Bargnani front court would be.

If Melo comes here, he'll be turning down tens of millions of dollars more, going to a hardass defensive coach that doesn't accept excuses from star players, an organization that does not dote on their players, and depending on HOW much less he takes, indirectly paying the salary of several role players.

Don't you think that if he does that, it would be time to revise your opinion of him as a diva that wants fame and fortune above all else?

Not only do I want to get Melo, I want to keep Broussard, KC and Isola completely in the dark til it happens. Keep them out the loop...
