Aside from being 6'11, he moves really well for his size, he's got a decent handle, and he's got a soft touch on his shots. His outside shooting will determine how good he can be, but his shot looks pretty good mechanically, and if he does develop a 3 pt ball, he'll be a very good player. His upside is very high, and I think that's what you look for.`He's got the kind of motor that players who can take games over have.

I would take Bagley with no hesitation if we end up 7th. He doesn't even need 3 point shot to be a great player. Young is the only guy in the top 7 that I'm really adverse to drafting. Bamba would be 6th on my list.

How are ties broken in the lottery odds? If three teams all have 22 wins for example.

Thanks for sharing.

I have a hard time accepting all the players in tier 3 belong in the same tier.

Basically, if Bagley, Bamba and Bridges are available and we draft Zhaire Smith, I'm going to be upset, lol.

In general though, I'm a fan of what they provide at their site.

that's how picks get broken, lottery odds is split evenly.

I.e let's say team 3 and 4 are tied, they divide the 275 lotto chances (159 for the #3 team, 116 for the #4 team) and each team gets 137 lotto chances and then the coin flip decides the extra spot/actual spot if both teams don't move up in the lotto.

Mikal Bridges has some skills this current team can benefit from, but I'm not sure about his potential.

I know the Kings have made a lot of mistakes, but I'd be really surprised if they took Young a year after taking Fox.

So if Jaren Jackson could stop climbing draft boards, that would be great.

I really do think he's going to be the best big in this draft.

I don't mind his climb. It allows us possibly grab who I still consider a tier 1 prospect in Bagley as low as 7.

JJJ > Bagley every day of the week.

-

Was listening to discussion on the Game Theory Podcast, talked in depth about Gafford. They were talking about Carter vs Gafford, and that a team that's more motion based might draft a higher skill guy like Carter, whereas a team that wants to play with more of a rim runner will go for Gafford (makes sense). Point being, same applies to Johntay Porter. From what I gather from Fred, I think he prefers the higher skill guy that can stretch the floor and pass from the 5. So worth considering there.

He spoke more about Hunter, makes a good case for him, OG Anunoby is a good comparison, more offensive potential imo, OG maybe a bit more of an explosive athlete. They spoke about Zhaire Smith more but I'm not as sold on him at this point, needs a lot of work to round out his skill-set.

How reliable is Zwicker? That list seems way off

One of the best NBA draft analysts. You should listen to his podcasts.

Yeah, he's really insightful. Maybe you agree, maybe you disagree with him, but he's got a reason for every ranking. It's a little bit more progressive and less built on player reputations. At worst, it's a different perspective that may help you look at things in a slightly different way.

Interesting stuff. I still probably take Bagley > JJJ. I like JJJ, but right now, he seems to be a bit flavor of the month. Normal, we’ve seen the yo-yo for almost every top player this year depending on most recent performance. Doncic, Bagley, Young, Bamba to some degree, and now JJJ.

It is weird that Duke played better without Bagley, with that said I still believe he's their best player. He's the guy they go to most when they need a bucket in a lot of situations.

Glad to see Zwicker showing Knox so low, I've said he has bust written all over him for the past 8-9 months. There are nearly 20 prospects i'd take over him.

With his take that would have us roughly taking Bagley/Mikal Bridges and maybe a Jontay Porter/Robert Williams...not a bad draft IMO but not exactly what I would want.

I'd be thrilled to get Bagley. And if we ended up with Mikal Bridges, that wouldn't be the worst thing in the world either.

Bridges has sneaky upside. I don't know how much his ball skills will improve, but he's so efficient in every other area on top of being a high level defender.
