Shabazz Napier is a name to play attention to. Bulls will most likely get rid of Zipser also.

Bulls Free Agency - Merged

Post#703 » by StunnerKO » Sun Jul 8, 2018 4:05 am

Shabazz is a good defender and can get his shot some , he’s going to be a steal for someone. Bulls did try and trade for him two years ago but went to Portland

Zipser isn't guaranteed this season, is he?

yeah, you are right.. I thought at first, Kilpatrick's contract is non guaranteed for only 3rd season, but its for 2nd as well.
I think it will depend on Nwaba situation,if he is gone, Kilpatrick will stay.

I hope Memphis does this. Nwaba is a typical hustle guy and I'll be happy that he got a big payday. But I'll be even more happy that Blakeney will get more minutes with Nwaba gone. Blakeney clearly deserves more playing time. Give Blakeney all of Nwaba's minutes and watch the team succeed more often.

We should offer Jabari Bird a contract. He is a RFA on Boston. Good looking player that needs playing time, would fit good on the Bulls.

Would be nice to have to backup Dunn.

Any word with the Jabari Parker interest? or is that done after having LaVine back in the fold?

Bulls should do a sign and trade for Parker. Bucks have no roster space, and not enough money even if they waive a couple guys.

Options:
1. Lopez
2. Asik and Nwaba/Holiday
3. Felicio and Nwaba/Holiday

Supposedly there is a good market for Nwaba so the Bulls might as well get something for him. Best case scenario would probably be Felicio and Nwaba for Parker at $14-18M/year.

Then add Ennis, Ellington or Connaughton.

Dunn/Holiday/Payne
Lavine/Valentine/Holiday
Parker/Ennis/Hutchison
Markannen/Portis
Lopez/Carter/Asik

If the team stays healthy it makes the playoffs and still has tons of potential. If Lavine or Parker goes down then we get another top 10 pick. At the end of the season Bulls will have $25.6M in expiring contracts: Lopez, Holiday, Payne and Portis. Could then get rid of Asik or stretch him to create a total of $37M in cap space.

Napier had a excellent year, will have no market and I recall the Bulls being interested in him in the past. Wouldn't surprise me to see that happen, and I'd be all for it.

Napier or Ulis both small guards that can play. Ulis is a better passer, Napier is a better shooter. I think I'd rather go for the passer for our team. We got enough shooters that don't pass well.

True, but we don't have a PG who can really shoot.
