I do like LaVine. Defense is poor, offense is very good, knee is bad, potential is good. He is a lottery pick. The other two assets, whatever. Plus we now have more money, good.

This sort of trade would always lose, I guess this is better than some. The Wolves will beat us by 15 games next year.

Hopefully Gar and Pax can flip Lavine and or Dunn for draft picks.

You understand that people who wanted to trade Butler only wanted to do so for a deal that made some semblance of sense, right?

There was a sizable population of Bulls fans on this forum who were on board with a crap return like this one.

If Lavine comes back 110% at least we will have somebody competing in the dunk contest

Depending on how he looks coming off the knee injury, could be a bargain.
Scottie Pippen's response to whom he would pick for his running mate, Michael or LeBron: "That's a dumbass question. I've never done anything with LeBron. I wouldn't take LeBron to the movies."

What do we do when it's time to extend LaVine?

This isn't a 2 year process.

Probably a blessing in disguise that he had an ACL issue. Won't have to pay through the nose.

Good time to be a Bull fan I guess....
this sucks....

You're not looking hard enough. The Bulls wanted the Dunn kid last year.

What better way to start the tanking season with another PG try out. Lol!

The perceived lack of return in this trade should.be an excellent proxy in determining the size of irritant that Jimmy had become in the Bulls organisation.
For love, not money.

This isn't directed at you, Mark. I'm just replying to the general premise of these two posts.

I was always reluctant about a Butler trade because I just simply didn't trust Gar Forman to make a good trade. Here are all my issues with the trade:

1.) We didn't get a top 3 pick.
2.) We INCLUDED a 1st round pick.
3.) The best piece in the trade is a player that's reliant on his athleticism and is overcoming a big injury.

I don't think any fan wanted this trade, but I think this validates a lot of posters who early on complained about GarPax as GMs. We've been with these guys for 13 years and it's all been a colossal waste of time.

If it's any consolation, Minnesota's roster now makes no sense whatsoever.

LaVine at max looks worse than Jimmy at supermax.

And better believe he'll chuck up enough shots and get enough buckets to ask for it.
