Lauri for 10 - Ayton Lauri Bridges? They need to keep Booker happy.

11 Spurs - don’t see Pop trading for Lauri

12 Kings - Who knows? Wendell or Lauri for 12?

13 Pels - Have Hayes and Zion. Ingram and Lonzo. Griffin likes Lauri. Zion plays C w Lauri at PF?

14 - Celts would want WCJ but do we trade him in conference? Is WCH better than Theis?

Warriors fan dropping in, you guys have a really active board. I was wondering if your team was looking for cap relief and if this trade would be of interest?

#2 + $17.2mil TPE for #4 Satoransky and Markkanen. It would give the Warriors more depth, 3 point shooting and first pick of the trade down guys after Ball, Wiseman and Edwards. It would give the Bulls cap relief and Wiseman or Ball if you are high on one of them.

I would give up #4 & either Thad or Sato. Or you can have Carter or Laurie...not the pick and a young big. Too much value going out the door.

No, salary relief doesn’t make sense for the Bulls at this time.

Lauri doesn’t work all that well as a trade up candidate.

If they end up with Wiseman, they still need to trade Carter
If they end up with Edwards, they still need to trade LaVine
If they end up with Ball, you just removed one of the key pieces used to help him out.

While none of these negatives are dealbreakers, you then have to factor in that you aren’t getting great value for Lauri. So I don’t see them pulling that trigger. It makes more sense for Chicago to include Carter if they want Ball or Wiseman. Edwards is just more complicated.

Another interesting dichotomy at play here, seeing as everyone in the league BESIDES Bulls fans have Markkanen as still possessing very high potential. If you go to some other teams’ boards, whether on here or on Reddit, they are very interested in giving up substantial assets for Markkanen

The entire league essentially views him as having gotten buried under the hellish landscape that was the Bulls evil regime, and as having loads of unlocked potential

I’m aware that Bulls fans know better, but regardless, Markkanen for #10 outright in a terrible draft is a downright bad trade. AKEVS can do considerably better than that

It’s a mistake to just look at Lauri in the abstract. He’s a decent prospect and worth more than the 10th pick if he was in this draft. But he’s about to be a RFA in a class where many teams have all cleared their cap space.

So it isn’t just the player, but he’s about to get paid 20M+ (At least if he lives up to average expectations this year, if he underperforms than he should have been traded anyways). On a roster that seems far away from having a contending mix of players.

yeah, the Warriors currently have Chriss and Looney as the only centers on the roster and need to add a legit 7' big center to the mix and WCJ doesn't seem like a fit.

“A very active board”

It’s the Chicago Bulls, mate. There are fans from all over the world on this board

As would be expected, I’m pretty sure this is the most frequented RGM board. Bulls reddit sub is up there as well, as the most active

As for the trade, I’m not sure it works out for the Bulls. I think they’ll just stay at 4, unless they can swindle Detroit or NYC into coughing up their ‘21 1sts, which obviously isn’t likely. They’ll probably take Avdija or Hayes, which I’m not happy about, but there is simply no one else, and I like WCJ over Okongwu (I think the Bulls do as well), so that knocks Big O out of the picture for Chicago (imo, anyways; they still might take him, who knows)

I think Oakland should take Wiseman at 2. And I think they will do exactly that. I’d be pretty elated with that outcome for the Warriors

How do you guys feel about trading the 4th and 2nd round picks for RJ Barrett straight up?

I would take Barrett for the two picks. I like him more every time someone calls him a bust after one year because those people don't know which part of the ball you put the inflater pin in. It would make for a three man rotation at guard and maybe a lot of three guard time but Barrett is better than anybody in this draft, even more so because he's had a 60 game run through the NBA, like when Coby talked about hitting the wall after 30 games Barrett understands the difference between college and the pros.

I like Barrett but he’s a horrible fit here. Ball dominant, poor defender, not a passer or playmaker.

Thibs will have him and Russ playing 40mpg.

So what about Lauril for a 2021 1st? Much better draft. The question is if you want to give him $125M-$150M next off-season. If not, trade for whatever you can get.

I think the Raptors is he busiest board actually with Bulls 2nd and Knicks 3rd

This is dependent on that Montrez rumor being real and the Bulls being able to get him in a sign and trade.

Ball falls to 3

Bulls trade: 4, WCJ
Hornets trade: 3, Miles Bridges

Bulls take Ball, and sign Harrell

Ball, White
Lavine, White
OPJ, Bridges
Lauri, Bridges
Harrell, Gafford

That’s a pretty fun team, and has some quality depth.

Zach and #4 to NY

Bulls get
#8 this year
Knicks 1st in 2021 and 2023
Dallas 1st in 2021 and 2023

Sets us up with 3 picks in a loaded 2021 draft, likely 2 lotto picks and tons of assets and cap space.

I’d do Lavine/4 to NYC for Barrett/their 2021 1st. 2022 projects to be a meh draft, I’d rather have Barrett than that pick

Regardless, all of this is moot. NYC will draft Hali or Toppin
