I'm confused. You don't think Nikola Jokic is one of the best players in the league? IMO, to not think it is laughable.

I was replying to this, sorry..

Nuggets get
Lopez
Portis
Bulls 2018 first round pick

Bulls get
Jokic
Faried

Yeah, the Nuggets wouldn't do that trade unless we swapped Lauri for Portis and then they still probably wouldn't do it. Basically, Lauri and the 7th or 8th pick for a top ten player. Nope. They've already got the guy that everybody would be tanking for knowing what we do now. Denver got him at #41. Oh, to have that kind of luck (or great scouting). That is a Spurs like move.

Drafting a great player at #41 is always about luck. There is just no way that scouting across the league has been so blind that a great prospect is available at #40+. It is about a player developing to have a skill level that is beyond anything that could be predicted before the draft.

How about saving Orlando so dough and give them some "potential":

Biyombo for Shrek, Cam and Grant

As an IU fan, was hoping we’d claim him too. This team needs some athletes in the 6’7”-6’9” range too.

Isn't Biyombo is extremely overpaid? Why would Chicago want him for any reason? Orlando isn't giving up any 1st round picks to dump him.

I think he's a good potential fit next to Lauri. He is way overpaid (especially for a back-up), but that said, his deal is over 1 year before Shrek's.

Yeah, I'd rather keep Felicio, Grant and Payne than pay 17 mils/year until 2020 to an old school center who can't shoot.

I'm starting to think that if we don't think we'll land one of:

1. Ayton
2. Porter Jr.
3. Doncic
4. Bagley
5. JJJ
6. Bamba
7. Young

That we try to trade the pick and Holiday or other non-core guy(s) for a good defensive SF.

Boston for Brown - they have Hayward, or
Brkn for Hollis-Jefferson - they have no pick, or
Wash for Oubre - they have porter

Why do that when they can draft either of the Bridges or Knox at small forward?
Losing to get high draft picks and hoping they turn into franchise players is not some next level, genius move. That's what teams want to happen in any rebuild/tank or whatever you want to market it as.

Because there is a 72.6% chance they won't be as good. All 3 of the other guys have high All-Star potential. Also, I'm not be on having to develop 2 rookies at once next year.

There is a 72.6 chance of what, they won't be as good as Brown, Hollis-Jefferson or Oubre? What difference does it make for the Bulls as a developing team having two more rookies especially if one is at small forward.

Yes - there is a detailed statistical analysis that I've done but (in the interest of space  ) have left out of this post that supports the 72.6% likelihood that if we're stuck far enough back where we'd draft one of the Bridges or Knox that they would not be as good as Brown, Hollis-Jefferson or Oubre.

I'm not steadfastly against 2 picks, but I think trying to get 2 guys developmental minutes will hurt overall team progression next year, but that's just my POV.

Hell to the NO. Ball brings LaVar. Also, I think Dunn is a better defensive player than Lonzo can ever become.

Watching some Fultz highlights from early on in the season, that dude is still gonna be damn good. If his stock is low, I'd look to nab him, trade Dunn.

I don't think Philly has any reason to give up on him TBH, they are in a pretty good spot right now so they can be patient.

At this point all they can do is work with him and go from there. If they traded Fultz and he blew up that would be a disaster for them.

Kahwi for Dunn, our 1st, and the Pelicans 1st. Who says no?

Spurs get a chance at 2 lotto picks, one maybe being top 5, and a rising star in Dunn who could thrive with Pop’s coaching.
