Was just about to come on and chime in with a reminder about his stunning year so far; ESPECIALLY THIS PAST MONTH January: 22ppg, 6apg, 51%FG on 18 FGA, 91% FT.

Derrick Rose is my favorite thing about this NBA season. It feels good to say that and mean it, and for other people to at least be able to nod and understand the perspective as realistic.

Does Nick Nurse get to select reserves? Or is it a mix of coach and player, or what? Either way, Derrick Rose NEEDS to be selected. It shouldn't be considered an overt gift of a selection either. He is performing right there on the boarder with other guards competing for that last spot or two. His stats are there. He's the obvious best player on his team. Detracts quite a bit that DET is out of playoff right now. He deserve completely with his play to be in that conversation.

But I mean come on, it's in Chicago, if there's a toss up with him and other guys ... that's just common sense. Oh man, I would be glued to TV to see him announced in game!!!!

embiid hangs out on the perimeter quite a bit. you're suggesting that simmons should not be playing alongside any remotely traditional big men

i'm sure that joakim never broke that law when he was playing here for 9 seasons...

Speaking of former Bulls, Rose has scored 20 or more in 10 straight games. I wonder when the last time he had a streak like that was. Over those 10 games he's averaging 23 points and 6 assists in less than 31 minutes. He's basically playing at his MVP level. We should seriously try to trade for him. I don't think it'd cost much and it'd get us into the playoffs.

Zion really looks like he is favoring one leg. His mobility looks not remotely back. No idea if he has anywhere near his usual hops. Is he coming back too soon? Will he ever be the same? I’m already worried.

Zion will be an NBA god if he can stay healthy. He's half a year younger than even Coby White, just a kid, and doing this in his first NBA game while recovering from knee surgery. Come on now.

The league needs the rating. This guy draws viewers. I barely watch college ball, call me a very casual fan, and I tuned in last year when he was playing. I'm betting that a lot of borderline NBA fans will be like me.
