Melo met with the Bulls for 9 hours. 9 / 3 = 3 :o

Melo met with the Mavs for 2 hours. 9hr - 2hrs = 7 :o

Melo met with Houston for 6 hours. Harden, Howard & McHale, all 6 letters. I am telling you, they're the devil.

That pitch likely will begin and end with Kobe Bryant. The future Hall of Famer is coming off a season in which he missed time recovering from a torn Achilles heel and also fractured his kneecap, injuries that limited him to a career-low six games in 2013-14.

But what else will the famed franchise have to offer Anthony? As ther LA Daily News' Mark Medina put it, coming off a franchise-worst 27-win season it's no longer enough for the Lakers to show off championship banners (though they do have 16 of them) and convince a star free agent he'll win in Los Angeles.

"They're very well aware that they can't just lean on their storied championship history because they're coming off the worst season in LA franchise history," Medina told Mark Schanowski on SportsNet Central. "So I would suspect that they'll talk about the fact that they have so much cap flexibility, they would mention how Kobe Bryant has really impressed the medical staff in terms of his rehab and the fact that, though the Lakers don't want to lean on the past, their history shows that they're willing to make the necessary spending to construct a championship roster."

As I was going to St. Ives
I met a man with seven wives
Each wife had seven sacks
Each sack had seven cats
Each cat had seven kits:
Kits, cats, sacks, and wives,
How many were there going to St. Ives?

Steve Aschburner, NBA.com: I’d peg it at a 75 percent chance Anthony stays in New York

Fran Blinebury, NBA.com: As a totally amateur oddsmaker, I still put it at about 10-1 against that he bolts.

Jeff Caplan, NBA.com: I’ve got it as a 50/50 toss-up right now between New York and Chicago

Scott Howard-Cooper, NBA.com: I have the Bulls as the team to beat, with the Knicks still in play

John Schuhmann, NBA.com: If the Knicks are really offering Anthony the max (and willing to pay him more than $29 million when he’s 34), it would be hard for him to pass on a five-year, $129 million contract.

Sekou Smith, NBA.com: It’s a toss up. The chances of Carmelo staying in New York depend on what it is the Knicks do when they get that last shot to recruit him

Lang Whitaker, NBA.com’s All Ball blog: I think he stays in New York

3 - The number Tyson Chandler wore, who was a member of the Bulls, Dallas, and the Knicks. Means Houston is eliminated.

7 - The number Ben Gordon, who is from Mount Vernon, New York wore while on the Bulls. So basically Dallas is eliminated too leaving the Bulls and that team from New York as the finalist. BG just signed in Orlando, was in Charlotte before that, and was previously in Detroit, which are all closer to Chicago. GAME!!!
