He would be likely much more amenable to NY imo, because they would probably easily pay whatever it took to get him over, and he isn't going to say no to 7-8m starting money.
I think Mirotic would probably love it anywhere in the NBA and the familiarity with Rubio makes it better. Yeah, NY might be more attractive than Minnesota as it would be for most people but Minneapolis is not a bad place for somebody aspiring to be a #1 option. He gets to learn the NBA in a more stress-free environment compared to NY.
Thus, both places have their pluses and minuses.
For the Bulls, they have to make a decision on what they do with Mirotic. His value is very high and if they have to make a trade using him, this is the time. Unless he turns into a superstar, his value will never be higher. Some franchises might legitimately look at him as a big building piece right now like a top 5 pick.
Mirotic's value should not become like the Charlotte pick losing value eventually and turning out to be average.
