*Take care of the basketball, have to cut down on the turnovers. Rose improving here helps.
*Pick up their guard bringing up the ball early, in the backcourt, it gives bigs time to get set and uses up some of their shot-clock before they can get into their offense
*Limit second chance points - guards to have to look to rebound to secure long rebounds that go over bigs and back out
*Limit points in the paint and midrange shot points (result of poor P&R/P&P defense)
*No excuse for fast-break points AFTER MADE BASKETS! Simply can't happen. If Love plays, then extra attention must be paid to this, as he has shown the ability to launch length of the court chest passes.
*Guards, fight through the damn screens, and bigs be aware of the roll/pop guy.
*Stay away from the 'dump into Pau' syndrome, it wastes too much shot clock while he gyrates through his array of back to the basket moves. Forget that, sit 18 feet out making Thompson or whoever come out, and let Rose dribble penetrate and kick back for those 18 footers.
*Taj, gotta get your D on and your shot-blocking on, Pau can't defend 1-on-1, his blocks totals are deceiving, as they are mostly 'help blocks' he gets, versus defending one on one. Make quicker decisions with the ball please and if doubled, react and pass it. Also, Taj, if they call stuff on you, turn around and STFU, they ain't gonna change the calls cause you're bitchin' and moanin', and then you fall asleep on coverage while pouting, so yeah, there's that...
*Prefer Moore/Snell getting Hinrich minutes and Niko giving Pau some more bench time, but Niko's gonna have to really step it up and avoid silly/too many fouls.
*They can get away with some Brooks minutes on the 6'3" Irving, who'd have to chase Aaron on the other end.
*McDermott could return, but not sure about any significant minutes or contribution, being that if he did play, it would be his first game back. But a few threes out him would be nice tonight.

So, yeah. basically it's a trap game for Cleveland :-)

Silly Derrick really could use the Marshawn Lynch guide to dealing with the media. Every time he speaks, something stupid comes out.

Glad to hear that our star player isn't letting basketball get in the way of his stories. Phew.

Just amazing that a guy doesn't want to take his work home with him. Are judges supposed to go home and watch court TV or doctors supposed to sit at home and watch er? I'm sure he watches film with the team and preparation for their next opponent. What's the issue? Seriously? Finding fault in everything he says is getting ridiculous.

Who's to say that we aren't the opposite this time around. I don't like these lazy efforts at all but maybe, just maybe, we're that veteran team now that doesn't necessarily need the home court advantage to get things done in the postseason. Maybe the Hawks, Wiz, and Raps are what we were 2 years ago. But does that make us the Miami Heat of 2 years ago? Not necessarily. But somewhere in between us 2 years ago and the Heat 2 years ago? Yes.

It would be more believable if the coaching staff was limiting players minutes, giving rest days off to the older players and developing young talent. But that's not whats happening...Gasol/Jimmy are still playing too many minutes, Niko only plays 12-14 or so minutes when everyones healthy, Snell's been getting DNP's and TT is looking like he's coaching with the same intensity he always does. The only player that looks like he's "coasting" at times is Rose, but that could also just be a confidence thing with him

True. Pau still coasts alot though. Very similar to Boozer in that regards. No box outs and extremely lazy close outs
Kris Bryant will go down as the greatest Chicago athlete after MJ

edit 7/30/21: okay maybe not, but it was a fun ride nonetheless

Are we really going to ignore all the work he put into becoming a MVP? All the work he put into rehabbing 2 knees, getting into game shape, and developing new skills? God forbid he want to watch something else on TV during his free time. After playing games, rehab, working on basketball outside of practice, Thibb's practice, and Thibb's film sessions, Derrick should sit on a couch and watch basketball or else he has no heart!!!

It fits the he doesn't care narrative.

Yeah, a win sure would be great.

Need Taj to really play well tonight. I think he's an ex factor going up against Love. You can add Niko to that conversation too, but I don't expect Niko to make a defensive impact like Taj can.

Love usually goes off on Taj. Not having Noah will hurt.

The Bulls wouldn't be as relevant without Michael Jordan and later Scottie Pippen and Phil Jackson.

Fans have already showed their feelings on Rose. I hope Derrick leaves and prospers elsewhere. It would be awesome.

And the same thing will happen if Rose tends to do the same things he tends to do here

This happens everywhere lets not act only bulls fans do this but if you think its only bulls fans ur in for a rude awakening lol

What has he done here? Won an MVP and then got injured? Didn't come back on your timeline? He hasn't done anything seemingly but bust his ass to be the best player he could be and that's still not good enough for fickle fans.

This is so true

Tonight is the night that Jimmy shuts down Lebron like he usually does. For Lebron's sake he better sit out this one.

So annoying that this team always has key players hurt. I honestly think Butler is playing through an injury right now too.

If Jimmy moves around, he'll get easy buckets against Lebron. Dude is James Hardenesque off-ball lazy this year...he still plays awesome 1v1 D (like he did against Griffin the other day) but you can tell he doesnt give 2 chits about chasing his man off ball

I'm not sure if the board is ruined or not. Nor am I sure what has ruined it if ruined. Fans scolding other fans for their opinions is my #1 cause for the ruining if so. People need to tough it out if they don't like opinions.
