Do you guys think CHI will move Otto? If so, what do you think will be the asking price?

Barrett and we'll go from there
AKME? More like MEAK with how they're afraid to make a move to push us in one direction.

No I don't think they'll move him. But I would take Knox, Iggy and Taj. Would throw in Dunn and Kornet.

I think the Knicks FO would do that deal. They’re desperate to win now

I would take a chance on Waiters. But he would need to come off the bench. I know he has been a problem pretty much anywhere he has been, but I would take the risk.
Felicio and Valentine for Waiters.
Heat get cap relief and off Waiters. Bulls get rid of two guys who arent in the rotation for a potential good role player if he accepts his role and doesnt fight anyone. Worst case you keep him away from the team if he goes unhinged. Bulls wont get any big name free agents next year so his salary doesnt hurt the bulls.

I can't imagine that Miami would trade felicio for Waiters. They are trying to win games and felicio brings nothing more than salary savings. they would pass immediately IMO.

I want Thybulle from the 76ers... I'll dangle the tantalizing Dunn to entice them...
they couldn't possibly reject that.

Thybulle looks like such a fun guy to root for and watch defensively.

Re: NBA Trade Thread
What could Lauri get us?
What if we had a plus defender at PF that could still shoot?
I’m not sold on Lauri and def not the money it will cost to keep him.
GarPax want to win and make the playoffs which means they’d probably want a vet and a pick or Lauri part of a package with our pick for a better player on a bigger contract. Kinda like a Beal of PFs.

Lauri is still under rookie contract and good value. I doubt you can get a better defender shooter for the money. If he were as bad as some people here seem to make him out to be why would it cost too much money to keep him (after his rookie contract)?

I'd say no. Bulls told all summer long he was the big summer signing, just a few months early.
Think they want to save face and sign him to extension.
I'd test the waters on LaVine and/or Lauri.

I think IF we are clearly out of the playoffs by the deadline, Lauri and a restricted 1st COULD net us a disgruntled star.

Potentially disgruntled stars (not really “stars” anymore):
Paul
McCollum
Hayward
Griffin
Love
Vucevic
A. Gordon
Maybe Oladipo if he has a rough come-back
Also there’s Beal, who is incredible but very high value. I would offer Lauri and Zach and filler, but i think the window has sailed with pre-season Zach hype and Beal extending short-term.
Otherwise, I see either lateral moves available, dumping Lauri; getting older with an unfit roster.
I dunno; reality is I want to see a different coach and probably one more year of experience for Lauri, Wendell and Coby. Neither are ready, they are developing and or finding themselves.
Makes more sense waiting the big pieces out. They just need to get this roster’s potential maximized. So frustrating having crap coaches constantly.
Meanwhile, I do think GarPax should get wing depth. It’s absurd having all these small guards, and injury prone Otto and Hutchinson. Zach can’t really defend SFs, so he’s not a ‘spot minute’ solution. Lack of foresight, they really should’ve kept one of Luwawu or Selden on a near-min. deal.

I don’t think we can get someone better than Lauri unless we gamble and get a younger player that may be even riskier. PJ Washington is interesting. Jonathan Isaac as a defender. Oubre Bridges and a pick?

You may be right, but I think trading promising picks who haven't realized their potential for others who amount to the same is wasting additional seasons to find out. Might as well keep Lauri and hope he pans out next year (or let him walk). I am always surprised that some great star gets dumped for scrap.
Maybe we trade Lauri to Cleveland for Love and a pick?

Re: NBA Trade Thread
if Kings is still interested in Zach, would they take Zach for Fox? The Kings is self-destructing (this is a recurring thing with the Kings FO), Fox might want out soon. a Fox-Coby dynamic backcourt is interesting.

Re: NBA Trade Thread
The whole thing at this point is just sad. Trading these guys now is trading at their absolute lowest. A new coach HAS to be brought in. they are risking years of development by keeping HCJB.

I would add anyone not named Lauri and WCJ. Still no way the Kings do it
