I would have preferred going the other direction, but at least the bulls are committing to a direction, no more straddling between rebuild and compete while doing neither well.

I think there needs to be a larger discussion on the value of mid to late first round picks.

Even if we gave up 2 unprotected firsts... say pick #10 this year and #12 next year...I still do it.

First round picks after 5 or 6 are heavily overrated IMO. The track record of these picks bears it out.

Now is not the time to get upset that we dont have the chance to draft a Jarret Culver or Wesley Johnson.

They weren't necessarily mid to late 1st round picks though.

Especially this year's selection.
