I'm afraid that, when we see the penalty for the tampering investigation, it will become clear why AKME pulled Lauri from the SAS trade in favor of Thad and then traded Lauri for DJJ and two draft picks rather than Nance. Either Thad or Nance would be very helpful to our team right now. But there apparently were other priorities.
I thought it was established that the reason Lauri didn't go to the Spurs is because the Spurs didn't want him for the money he was looking for?
Also, I think people are way overrating Nance. Production-wise, he's really not doing anything more than DJJ is doing, and DJJ's advanced metrics are better across the board(though yes, some of that is due to being on a better team).

I don't think this team is different at all with Nance instead of DJJ. Nance is two inches taller, yes, but his 6'7' is still undersized for the PF position.
