Yeah im happy for Tyrus. I mean those 3 blocks were crazy. And right now a Tyrus block is almost equal to a dunk for the team...and crowd for that matter.
One thing that has been bothering me, is that Ben has been consistantly lit up by Pfs and centers that can shoot the 15ft jump shot. What irritates me the most is that Wallace doesnt hardly attempt to defend it. I really would like to see Tyrus defend these guys. Even though he doesnt have the overall height, he has the length and quickness to disrupt or block their shot. Plus if they do try and just post up, its going into the heart of the defense anyways. Someone will double. So when you think about it, there is no drawbacks by having Tyrus guard a center.

I was disappointed by Gordon given that he didn't have another superman type of game.
But when I ran the numbers at the end, it was still 20 points on 57 TS%. He had some turnovers, but I think all were deadball turnovers, which are the best kind, and for the most part came from agressive play, and aggressive trappings where no one moved to a place where Gordon could drop a good pass.

I missed the first two. Were they as pretty as the last one?

What a really weird, fun game.
Both teams won. We won, and Sactown lost. I have no idea what they are doing, trying to win. Its exceptionally pointless.
Ben Wallace was HUGE for us. He really came through. On an awful play by Hinrich. What is Hinrich DOING out there?
Hinrich- The rest of the team has snapped out of it (Duhon has just gone back to his natural form). Hinrich really, really hasn't. I'd be looking for a way to energize him, or move him for good value. Maybe put in Gordon, bench Kirk. I'm thinking it could help.
Gordon- Meh to the extreme. Bad matchup for him defensively too.
Nocioni- Was really good when he was shooting.
Duhon- Ugh.
Thabo- He might not be a half bad SF. Me and Sham caught this early.
Tyrus- Defensively, wow. Offensively, some really tough breaks in the 2nd half. Still, good game.
Noah & Gray- Neither did much, good or bad.
Thank god we won, we needed it.

Gordon just looks more confident and seems to know where he wants to go when he has the ball. If he can improve his ability to get to the FT line, he can be a very good scorer. It's nice to see him playing well.

Gordon played ok, but I can think of 2 TO's which were not dead balls: A TO from a bad pass when he got doubled, and just a bad pass to Tyrus, I think.

The first one was when Salmons drove the lane and Tyrus caught it at the peek and pinned it against the glass. Then the ball bounced off the glass, Brad Miller got it and went straight up and Tyrus quickly jumped and blocked it again. I havent seen a Bull jump that quickly for blocks since Scottie Pippen. Im sure Miller was amazed that he actually got the second one.

Hopefully there is a clip of that on Sportscenter or ESPN.com
He gets up there quick
What I really enjoy is the chemistry and passing ability of our young bigs. I think Ty and Gray work well together. Noah and Ty have good passing ability for big men. Noah's court awareness impresses me a lot.

Enough, Duhon out Thabo in - PLEASE.
How can a professional NBA player miss these man WIIIIIDDDDDDEEEEEE Open shot after open shot??? Even I can make couple of opens shots a game. This is like what 4th year in a row and Duhon is still a pathetic shooter.
I would rather have Thabo in the game to start. Atleast we won't have to double anyone with Size in the backcourt. Thabo can really steal the ball and Block and also is a good rebounder - not to mention a solid defender as well.
I don't understand, we have talent but we don't use it.

Can you tell me why? You're 5.5 games out of 8th, with injuries everywhere. You should be tanking imo.
So, what. We were in a worse situation then this and made it to the playoffs i.e. 2006... When healthy, we are good... We dont have the malicious tanking mentality and its disgusting really... I still believe that when this team is healthy we are a playoff team (6/7/8 seeds) look back when we were truly healthy. It was that one half of the season when we got Artest. We were like 28-12 for that last half of the season and went to the playoffs... The last 2 years IMO were flukes due to key injuries in the worst situations...

newskoolbulls wrote:Kingsfan, you should be tanking hard for Rose. Artest will opt out, Bibby is aging extremly fast, Kevin Martin is overrated and his shot selection is exceptionally poor. Hawes has Rahims knees. The only thing the Kings have going good for them is Salmons emergence and steal of Beno Udrih.
Umm, what? Propose that suggestion/thoughts in the Kings forum I GUARANTEE you will get burned by MANY Kings fans... no joke... That's simply wrong and ignorant...

I know the team is not into tanking. Thats why its good when they lose, while still fighting. I think you guys need a major rebuild, right now, but getting rid of Bibby for expirings and youngs, Artest+some contract for expirings and youngs, and then develop the youngs. Looking at the West, it looks extremely strong. This is just my opinion, but I hope you agree.
If you guys weren't already decimated by injury, and in a major disadvantage record-wise, I'd say compete. But with this start, and these injuries, in that conference, you're better off rebuilding.
