However, if you are being objective, there is no way Daniels gets a 69.6 yesterday and Williams 37.2. If you want to say Daniels should have the higher QBR because of completion percentage, total touchdowns (3 vs 2), and a plus 21 in total yards accounted for, I get that. The two critical turnovers should not still have a differential of over 30 between the two. The math ain't mathin.

PFF gave Caleb the worst rating of all starting QBs...even worse than negative net passing yards JF.

have a feeling PFF is highly accuracy dependent. tough to grade decision making. as for QBR:

37 caleb
34 gabriel
33 penix
31 hurts
24 rush
20 mac
19 allen
14 ward
9 fields

it's possible that QBR did not "credit" JD for the fumble because it was on a handoff. i know that they don't credit the QB much for plays like the swift TD. but the wide gap of JD over caleb doesn't make much sense

caleb back down to middle of the starter pack in QBR now. feels about right, frankly

The stuff of nightmares if Moody has to kick the field goal.

nearly was a nightmare. that kick came out hard left and swung back hard to the right for some reason

Do you think the Bears have found their starting LT? He looked pretty good last night.

Benedet call was offside IIRC, and the announcers thought it was a very questionable (but unfortunate) call.

Williams definitely seems to be getting more time than last season...which he definitely needs because IMO his reads and progressions are below average speed-wise.

He had a false start earlier in the game as well.

On defense our pass rush still isn’t good enough. A change needs to be made. I would wait until the deadline to make a move for someone like Simmons or Henderson so we can get a good idea of where the team is.

If we are comped and have a legit shot at making the playoffs, then I would pull the trigger and a move like that (assuming the compensation is reasonable).

We ARE a top 10 offense now, if you go by points per game. If you go by yards per game, we're 14th.

Yea thats the problem Caleb still just isn't a very good QB. Anyone that says they wouldn't take Daniels in a do-over is a liar. I honestly think this offense would be better if Bagent was starting. He knows how to hit guys when they're open. Caleb is really bad at that. Look at the 2 pt conversion attempt when Aikman showed in the graphic that he had Monangai wide open for an easy catch, yet didn't throw it to him. Even in that final drive in his completion to Loveland, i noticed on the replay that someone else was a good 5-6 yards deeper behind Loveland that was also open. He leaves yards on the table ALOT.

I wouldn't take Daniels over Caleb necessarily, although it looks close right now. Daniels had more college experience, it's not surprising he's started out faster, and I think he had a much better offensive line to play behind last year. I still like Caleb's potential. And Daniel's thin frame makes him an injury risk, made worse by his propensity to run often. I would bet Caleb has a longer career for that reason.

I do agree it's possible the offense would look better with Bagent starting right now, but Caleb has shown enough this season to believe he's a long term answer, provided he keeps improving. I'd still love to see Bagent start a game this year just to see how he does in this offense.
