He looks more athletic in this vid. I wonder if he put on weight and slowed down.

JC guys. He was the #55 pick and we got so much cash. Plus look at his amazing hair. He can't teach hair.

99% of picks this late amount to nothing. Even so, would have preferred to take a swing on someone with a 1% shot of being something.

Man, guys are negative! The world has expanded. There are thousands of players eligible for the draft every year, and 60 get drafted. Not just from college, but overseas too now. The top 60 players in the draft aren't all even getting drafted. You can find gems in the second round and I'd bet AK has a whole book on this guy already. Getting him on a two-way, basically not taking a actual roster spot at less money, sign me up! Be willing to bet in the second round you can find a better foreign player than well scouted college guys. You never know with those guys until you see them in the league, and athleticism is not a big deal.

For a second rounder the Olbrich picks looks like it has the potential to be a good pickup despite the trade down. High energy guy with good basketball IQ that will do the dirty work and tries hard to make plays. You need guys like that to come off the bench in the playoffs to disrupt offensive flow of your opponents. If he pans out this was an excellent pick. If not then who cares? Whether it was a mid second rounder or a late one, it's hard to find value that late in any NBA draft. Hopefully, he will prove himself and carve out a role in the next season or two.

He's not athletic at all. He seems plodding and uncoordinated in these highlights. He's not big enough to be a center, but also not skilled enough to be a wing. Not a good shooter. Not good defensively. He's basically a taller but poorer Nocioni. I don't doubt that he'll work hard, but what can he possibly bring to the NBA?

I understand that he's the 55th pick, but we also put ourselves in that situation. I'm usually a very optimistic fan, but I just can't find any reason to get excited about the way we treated the 2nd round this year.

Cool name. Good stache.

Enjoying all the hate on his measurements since he most closely compares to Queen who New Orleans traded two 1sts for. Good for a good laugh.

That's probably true for a very few though. Jokic, Luka... not incredibly athletic players. They just have insane ball skills and IQ. From my extremely limited research on this guy (1 "highlight" video that Guru posted earlier), I don't see anything that would let me assume he's that type of player.

I agree- he's not a finesse player, but looks more than willing to do the dirty work inside. Give him a chance before you announce he's never going to be an NBA player.

Poor pick.. non athletic, non shooting, weird footed ozzie, also already 21yrs old and barely playing in low quality NBL

Saw this from my alma mater. Older kid but he can go nuclear from 3 and plays passing lanes pretty well.

He had just moved up and was the MVP of the league prior.

Now is it time to find undrafted players so the Bulls can have a good G League team?

EDIT: I see the Bulls signed a 25 year old. Right on schedule!

I’ll tell you be huge thing I noticed in olbrich highlights. Dude is aging terribly and rapidly. In some clips he looks really young and in clips from what I’d assume is the next year since he’s only 21 now or even the combine he looks likes he’s aged 15 years into a middle aged dad lol

Bitim at least was intriguing and a pro on the international level. This is a guy who somehow played six years in college and maxed out at 13 points a game.

You're right, he's not athletic by NBA standards, but I was expecting Bairstow levels of athleticism (which is to say zero) and surprisingly he definitely isn't at that level of unathletic.

I watched YouTube highlights though, not that link.

I'm getting Andrew Funk vibes. That dude was perhaps the most obvious non-NBA talent I've seen in years.
