I've already covered this. They ended up in a weird spot at 4. I would have:
1. Traded up to 2 using WCJ and taken Wiseman
2. Traded up to 3 using WCJ and taken Ball
3. Entertained any other trade that gets you Ball, Wiseman or Edwards
4. Traded Detroit for 7/16. Likely taken Hayes. I have no idea who I would have taken at 16, probably a wing (Green or Bey). Definitely would have looked into moving up into the top 12/13 for Kira/Hali (last part not exactly realistic)
5. Stay at 4 and take Hayes/Okoro/Deni/Hali/Toppin, most likely in that order
This is pathetic, you keep skirting the question. You keep throwing out these hypothetical scenarios while having zero information that these were ever a possibility, you weren't in the room, you don't know if they tried to trade up or down, from all indication nobody wanted to make a move in a weak draft.
WHO WOULD YOU HAVE TAKEN AT #4?? . I personally liked Hayes, but I can't say with any type of confidence that he will absolutely be a better NBA player than Williams. You don't get to choose the field and then claim you were a genius when one of over a dozen guys actually ends up panning out. Pick a guy and in 3-4 years we'll see if they end up being a better prospect than PWill.

Great find.
His handles are coming along.
Aesthetically I see some Jordan especially in the mid range.

Edwards went higher because of the position he plays, we might hope Williams turns out to be a sufficient SF but make no bones, right now, he looks like a 4. Hopefully that changes.

After watching those videos, he appears to be more skilled than many thought. I think he can provide us some good minutes this year and the potential is clearly there.

He actually reminds me of a bigger Jimmy Butler quite honestly. Jimmy was never a super explosive player, but also a very strong and methodical basketball player, I think Patrick could be that type of player, but just bigger and longer.
The thing that Patrick lacks which may prevent him from being an elite player is that he doesn't have a great first step. Others have mentioned this as well, and I tend to agree. That said though, others have also mentioned he looks too slow and heavy footed in college footage, and these scrimmage clips definitely shows that he moves around very fluid and looks light on his feet, and yet still very strong. I think he will be just fine as a small forward.
Why so serious?

Edwards’ defensive rating last year was 103.6 while Williams’ was an impressive 94.1 — almost a 10-point difference. That’s incredible.
Actually, let’s look at the other side of the ball, shall we?
Looking at their offensive rating (points score or points attributed to per 100 possessions), Edwards sits at 105.8 last year. Williams’ offensive rating came in at 106.9.
Very interesting, isn’t it? Between every little thing Williams does, he graded out as a better player on offense and defense

You know Ortg and Drtg are bogus stats, right?
Here are the Bulls leaders last year in Ortg
Top Ortg
1. Strus
2. Felicio
3. Gafford
4. Shaq
5. WCJ

Maybe more so in college footage, but scrimmage footage he doesn't look like a 4 at all. Sure, he could play the 4, but he is very comfortable handling the ball creating shots off the dribble, but also attacking the basket.
He is going to be just fine at either forward spots, I'm confident in that.

I have it clearly written there, are you reading?
We know the Pistons were trying to move up to 3 ahead of bulls. We know they had 7/16 in the hours before the draft. It's a logical inference, even if we don't know for sure.
We know there was talk of WCJ for 2. We know Charlotte was interested in a center. Again, logical inferences. I'm not saying they definitely would have happened, but that would have been my plan. Most would agree it's a fair offer to give a team looking for a center WCJ when moving up a spot or 2, in fact most would say that's an overpay. These aren't pulled out of thin air.

In that mid-range fade-away I see shades of 2nd 3-peat Jordan.
He looks good I’m excited about the pick.
Yeah I’m sold on his potential at the 3, although I always was.

First I thought Larry Johnson was bad, then we went up to Kawhi. Now we're at Jordan for this kid. Hahaha

His handle looks tighter than it was in college in that clip and he obviously has time to work on his craft.

If the Bulls truly offered WCJ + 4 then GS clearly turned it down, so there's no point in saying they "should've done it" it wasn't up to them so why do you keep bringing it up? Also by all indications Charlotte had zero interest in moving from 3, they wanted ball, Detroit tried to trade ahead of us and they said no, so again there's no point in bringing it up. Picking at 4 or trading back were the only options.
You like Hayes, as did I. If he ends up being a better player than P Will we can claim to have called it, if not then AK obviously knows better than us. The end, you only get one pick, if Toppin or somebody else pans out you don't get to make the claim that you knew better.

Going by the scrimmage footage, Pat could lead the league in scoring and Spencer could lead the league in assists. Spencer was seemingly passing him to him constantly.

Somebody with social media savvy should hit up dinwiddie on the interwebs for some thoughts on PW.

I'm impressed. If he works this hard, he's 2/3 years away from being possibly a legit NBA scorer. Add that to his defensive abilities and Jimmy/Kawhi knack for getting steals in the passing lanes ....
He could be a top 2-3 guy out of this draft...

If only GarPax didn't throw Spencer away to keep the likes of Jerian Grant, Isiah Canaan and MCW, we could have them both.
