It's funny, on the drive home I was wondering how much of a role Marc Eversley played in getting Derozan to Chicago.
Looks like he had plenty to do with it ...
I couldn’t see Paxson or Foreman doing this.

Who hurt some of you? This team is a top 10 offense at worst next year. They’re going to punish teams, who won’t know who to defend for 48 minutes.

Did people really expect to keep holding onto hope that Denzel, Coby, Lauri, Wendell Carter, PWill, Paul Zipser, Hutchison, etc are just gonna magically all become all stars. Have to make some moves at some point, and save me from saying "well we could have gotten X player for way less than who we got." Things don't happen in a vacuum

Anyone who thinks demar is a problem has no clue lol. Demar was the first option of a top 10 offense 6 of the last 8 years. The two that weren’t top 10 were the last 2 years of a crappy spurs team. 3 of those years the raptors were top 5 offense including the year they went to the conference finals with a not great starting lineup of Lowry/derozan/Carroll/Patterson/valanciunas.
Everyone who is worried that he doesn’t shoot threes doesn’t realize that he is one of the best in the league at creating threes for teammates, barely turns the ball over, gets to the line a ton and consistently shows up every night because his skill set isn’t high variance like guys who jack up a ton of threes.
His defense is sub par but his offensive game supports the defensive side of the ball by allowing the team to get set up and make opposing teams have to play in the half court.

I’m not saying they are definitely better than the bucks but I do think they can compete against them. When the time comes we ll see who is better. Should be a fun season.Michael Jackson wrote:dice wrote:Red8911 wrote:If you think about it the Nets are the only clear favorites in the East. The next 3-4 teams imo are even and bulls are now part of that list.
you think the bulls are as good as the bucks now?
Or the Heat, Hawks, Philly?
Better than the Knicks, Pacers and Raptors. Likely even with the Celts. Punchers chance team. In no way are they better than the Bucks in my book. I’d like them to prove me wrong though.

We're also finally talented enough to take advantage of injured teams. We may not be better than the Nets, but we may also not need to be if they're as unhealthy as they were last year. Same with the Heat.
